"Hello, Boston!" Y/n shouted into the mic, his voice echoing through the arena as the crowd's cheers reached a fever pitch. "It's an honor to be here tonight—thanks for showing up to the hometown show!" He grinned, eyes scanning the crowd as he spotted his family and Tate in the VIP section, all bundled up together and cheering wildly. He shot them a quick wink, which made Tate laugh and wave, a spark of pride in her eyes.
As the first beats of his opening song filled the venue, Y/n launched into the lyrics, his voice blending with the energy of the crowd as they began to sing along. He couldn't help but smile, watching them dance, jump, and scream, feeding off the electric atmosphere they'd created together. There was nothing quite like being on stage, feeling the energy, knowing his music was making people feel something real.
Midway through the song, his eyes caught sight of a neon sign held high in the crowd. He squinted to read it, trying not to break rhythm as he finished the chorus. "Oh man, this is amazing," he said, still laughing as he caught the words. "I love this," he announced, drawing the crowd's attention. "Alright, get this: 'My boyfriend cheated on me, so I used his credit card to buy these tickets.'" He laughed, the crowd's reactions making him shake his head in disbelief. "Holy shit, really?"
The girl holding the sign was laughing, already nodding along to his question. Y/n smirked and leaned closer, his voice dripping with playful concern. "You're not still with this guy, are you?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow. The girl shook her head, proudly giving him a thumbs-down, and Y/n responded with an enthusiastic nod of approval.
"Good! That's what I like to hear," he said, leaning down to give her a fist bump, which she eagerly returned. The crowd roared, fully on her side, and Y/n grinned, adding, "Looks like you upgraded to a much better night, huh?"
As the crowd continued cheering, he leaned back and looked around, soaking in the moment. He flashed a grin at his bandmates before launching into the next verse. Every lyric, every beat, felt alive with the energy of the crowd around him.
If there was one thing Y/n knew he could pull off, it was putting on a show that people would remember. His moves were sharp, every step and beat hitting perfectly as he worked the stage like he owned it. He hadn't missed a note, and each song only made the crowd wilder, their energy giving him even more to work with.
When the intro to one of his fan-favorite songs started playing, Y/n knew he had to kick things up a notch. As the beat dropped, he grinned and grabbed the mic, hyping everyone up as he paced across the stage. He threw his head back and shouted, "Boston girls get down like this!" just as he spun around and, without missing a beat, shook his hips with the confidence of someone who knew exactly what they were doing.
The crowd absolutely lost it. Phones flew up in the air to record, capturing every second as the arena exploded with cheers and laughter. Fans near the front were screaming and jumping, the entire room practically vibrating from the sheer excitement. Y/n chuckled, glancing over his shoulder with a playful smirk, loving every second of the reaction.
He straightened up and pointed at a group of fans in the front row, who were waving and laughing so hard they were practically doubled over. "You all didn't think I had moves like that, huh?" he teased, shaking his head with a laugh.
This moment was what he lived for—the adrenaline, the connection, the freedom to just let loose and have fun with the people who'd come to see him. "Alright, Boston," he shouted, holding the mic high as the music built back up, "let's make tonight unforgettable!"
When the concert came to a close, he waved and thanked the crowd before walking off the stage.
As they stepped off the stage and into the back area, Tate's eyes sparkled with pride. She barely waited for Y/n to catch his breath before pulling him into a deep kiss, her arms slipping around his neck as if they were the only two people in the room. "You were amazing," she said, her voice soft but filled with admiration.
