Tate McRae was nervous. As she paced around her apartment in Los Angeles, she could hardly concentrate on the final touches of her album, Think Later. The clock on the wall ticked down to the album's release, and every minute felt heavier than the last. She glanced at her phone for the hundredth time, wondering if Y/n would be awake yet.

"Let's see." Tate said softly, hitting the green call button on her phone as she sank onto her couch, tucking her legs underneath her. She waited, biting her lip as she listened to it ring.

"Hey! What's up?" Y/n's voice came through, upbeat and soothing, instantly calming her nerves. He was always so good at that.

"Not much, just... you know, stressing out about the album. It's just a few hours until it drops, and I feel like I've been waiting forever." She flopped back against the cushions, staring up at the ceiling as she spoke.

"I get it," he replied. "But you've put in so much work, Tate. Everyone's going to love it. I mean, I've heard some of the songs, and they're all fire."

"Thanks," she said, smiling despite the anxiety swirling inside her. "You really think so?"

"Absolutely. The lyrics are so relatable, and your voice sounds amazing. You're going to crush it."

They talked for a while longer, Y/n's easy laughter helping to ease her nerves. She loved that they could just be themselves with each other, no pretense or pressure. After a bit, Y/n casually mentioned that he was planning to do a livestream later that night to review her album.

"Wait, you're doing a livestream?" Tate asked, sitting up straight. "You didn't mention that!"

"I wanted it to be a surprise," he said, a hint of mischief in his voice. "I thought it would be fun. You know, like, a little event for your fans to celebrate with you."

Tate felt her heart swell. Y/n always found ways to make her feel special. "That's so sweet! But what if I bomb it? What if people don't like the songs?"

"Not a chance. You've got this," he reassured her. "Besides, if anyone says anything negative, I'll just fight them in the comments."

"Wow, protective boyfriend mode activated!" she laughed, shaking her head. "But seriously, I'd love for you to do that. You're the best."

"Of course! I'll promote it on my socials and everything. We'll get people hyped," he promised. "I'll call you before I go live, alright?"

"Okay! I'll be waiting," she replied, feeling a wave of excitement wash over her.

As the hours passed, Tate kept herself busy, making final adjustments to her promotional materials and scrolling through her social media. Fans were already buzzing with excitement for Think Later, and the anticipation made her both anxious and giddy. Each time she saw a fan art piece or a tweet expressing excitement about the release, her nerves settled just a little more.

When Y/n called just before going live, she picked up immediately, her heart racing.

"Are you ready for this?" he asked, his voice warm and encouraging.

"Yeah, I think so," she replied, her fingers nervously playing with the hem of her shirt. "Just remember to be nice, okay?"

"Always. You know I'm your biggest fan," he said, and she could almost picture him grinning on the other side of the phone. "Alright, I'm going live in three... two... one!"

She hung up, her heart pounding as she opened her own phone to join the stream from the chat. The moment Y/n's face appeared on the screen, the comments exploded with excitement.

"OMG, it's Y/n!"

"Let's go! The king of reviews is here!"

"Can't wait to hear your thoughts on Tate's album!"

Y/n smiled, looking directly into the camera. "Hey everyone! Welcome to the livestream. I'm super excited today because we're celebrating the release of Tate's new album, Think Later. Let's get into it!"

Tate watched, her heart fluttering as Y/n began to chat with his fans about the album. He was charismatic and engaging, sharing snippets about the songs he loved and what he thought of Tate's evolution as an artist. He mentioned how they had been working on the album together, and Tate felt a rush of pride.

"You're going to hear a lot of vulnerability in this album," Y/n said, looking directly at the camera. "It's real and raw, and I think it's Tate's best work yet."

Tate beamed, reading through the comments. Fans were relating to what Y/n was saying, sharing their own experiences with the lyrics Tate had poured her heart into.

As the song played through his speakers, Tate felt a rush of emotions. Hearing her work in this setting was surreal, and she couldn't help but smile as she saw the positive reactions flooding the chat.

"Holy shit, this chorus is so catchy!" Y/n exclaimed when the song ended. "I can't stop singing it!"

"Right?!" Tate typed into the chat, wanting to join in on the excitement.

"Hey, there she is! Tate is in the chat, everyone!" Y/n announced, and the comments exploded again. "Tate, what was the inspiration behind this one?"

Tate felt a thrill of adrenaline. "Honestly, it came from a place of realizing that sometimes you just have to let go of toxic relationships and prioritize yourself."

"Boom! There it is," Y/n said, nodding enthusiastically. "So powerful."

The livestream continued, song after song. Tate felt herself getting more and more immersed in the chat, engaging with fans and soaking in the love. Y/n's energy was infectious, and she loved how effortlessly he connected with his audience.

As the track played, Tate couldn't help but reflect on the late-night sessions they'd spent together, writing and recording. The lyrics echoed through the room, and she felt tears prick at her eyes as she listened to her own words resonate with everyone watching.

"This is just so emotional," Y/n said softly when the song ended. "Tate, I can't even imagine how much of yourself you poured into this."

"I really did," she replied, her fingers flying over her phone as she typed. "It's about longing for someone and the pain of not being able to have them in your life the way you want."

"I think that's something we can all relate to," he said, his tone sincere. "Alright, let's keep this going."
