After five minutes of waiting for the inevitable to happen, I slowly opened my eyes.

I quietly looked around me in panic yet a storm was brewing inside of me. I wanted to move but my legs gave up on me a long time ago.

I saw Vicente's men walking toward me with guns in their hands. But I couldn't find my brother among them. There was around thirty of our men, all armed and dressed in black.

They've come to protect me. Thank God.

I looked back at the long line of cars that were now parked in front of me. A car door suddenly opened and my heart started beating faster and faster in my chest.

My eyes widened when I saw Carmella stepping out of the car. I desperately opened my car door and ran to her without giving it a second thought. I pulled her into my arms and she started crying into my shirt. I could tell that she was scared as I squeezed her to my chest.

"I'm scared, mommy." She whispered into my ear and I rubbed her back in a comforting manner.

"You're okay. Mommy's here now and I won't let anything bad happen to you." I promised her and she nodded in understanding. "Are you hurt? Did they hurt you?" I wildly asked her and she shook her head at me.

"No." She uttered with a frown on her forehead. "They said they would take me away from you if I didn't listen to them." She explained so I placed a kiss on her forehead.

"My brave girl." I uttered before placing another kiss on her forehead. "I won't let them hurt you, okay?" I told her and she nodded at me.

"You see that house back there, cariña?" I asked her and she nodded at me once more. "I want you to run to it as fast as you can, okay. Look Yaya is also here." I told her while pointing at Valentina who were still watching us in fear. Carmella looked over at Valentina and nodded at me in understanding so I placed one last kiss on her forehead.

"Go on." I told her and she started running toward Valentina as fast as she could. Once she reached her Yaya, Valentina picked her up from the ground before she ran back to the house with her.

Another car door opened so I grabbed my gun from my waistband before cocking it and pointing it ahead of me.

A tall man confidently climbed out of the car. He fixed his suit before staring out at the view in front of him. He was calm and he seemed completely unfazed by us.

He slowly turned his head and stared right at me. His eyes were narrowed against the sun as he came walking over to me and it seemed like every step he took was carefully curated and planned out.

He had a buzz cut, blond hair, icy blue eyes, and a muscular build.

This man is absolutely perfect and I was burning to know who he was. He seems harmless. Too neat and kept together to ever kidnap someone's daughter. Yet that's exactly what he's done.

He kidnapped my daughter. That makes him my enemy. I raised my gun and aimed it at his head as he stopped in front of me.

"Who are you?" I asked him with a look of anger on my face and he smirked at my question before he looked over at the men standing behind me.

"It seems like we have an audience today." He smiled down at me and I just kept glaring at him.

"I said, who are you?" I angrily repeated myself.

"You don't know who I am? I'm offended." He told me while faking shock.

"If you don't tell me who you are right now, I will kill you right here in front of everyone." I told him.
