Back on the battlefield, Spawn was still dominating the sky, twisting and weaving through the air as he tore through helicopters and tanks with lethal precision. Just as he crushed the last attack chopper in his grip and hurled it into a tank below, he caught a new sound-one that felt foreign in the familiar chaos of war. It was the unmistakable, rapid hum of drone propellers.

He turned in midair, narrowing his gaze as he spotted a dark, buzzing cloud approaching from the distance. "What in hell are those?" he muttered to himself, the swarm glinting ominously in the light as it closed in on the fight below.

As the drones reached the heart of the battlefield, they descended swiftly, each one locking on to targets with a disturbing, unerring accuracy. Soldiers from Cannibal Town and Carmilla's forces barely had a chance to react. The drones zeroed in, aiming directly for the foreheads of several soldiers, and then-one by one-they made contact, detonating with brutal efficiency. The explosions sent bodies flying, scattering blood and smoke across the ground. Men and women fell in droves as the swarm spread across the field like a grim reaper's hand, each drone claiming a life in its blast.

Spawn's eyes widened, and he clenched his fists, watching the carnage from above. This was no ordinary weapon-it was a calculated assault, something personal, and clearly meant to thin their numbers without mercy. He cursed under his breath. These drones weren't just machines; they were deadly, remorseless executioners.

Charlie and Vaggie froze in horror as they watched the drones wreak havoc on the battlefield. Each explosion was swift and precise, taking down soldiers with chilling efficiency. They had steeled themselves for casualties, knowing the grim reality of war, but this-this cold, calculated slaughter-was something else entirely. Bodies fell in heaps, many of the soldiers barely able to register the drones before they exploded on impact.

Charlie's eyes widened, her fists clenched as she took in the devastation. She knew losses were inevitable, but this level of brutality shook her. Vaggie, gripping her spear tightly, looked on with a mix of anger and despair. She turned to Charlie, her voice filled with rage. "This isn't just a fight-they're slaughtering them like animals."

Charlie nodded, her face pale but resolute. "We can't let this go on. If we don't find a way to take out those drones, they're going to wipe out everyone."

Together, they steeled themselves, knowing they'd have to push harder than ever before. They glanced back at the others, feeling the weight of leadership pressing down, but also a burning determination to stop the slaughter, whatever it took.

Blitzo and Moxxie were firing faster than they ever had, their fingers blurring as they squeezed the triggers with unrelenting fury. Every time a drone veered toward one of their allies, they zeroed in, picking it off in the split second before it could collide. The battlefield had turned into a hellish game of reflexes, and the stakes were all too real.

Between shots, Blitzo muttered through gritted teeth, almost in disbelief. "I swear, I've never been paid enough for something like this. And here I am, blowing up drones for free."

Moxxie, reloading with a speed born of desperation, managed a smirk. "Guess that makes us heroes or idiots-maybe both."

Blitzo barked a laugh, even as he fired another round. "Eh, heroes don't live long down here anyway."

Despite his words, his sharp focus and determination made it clear that, pay or no pay, he wasn't backing down. They kept shooting, side by side, each drone they took down buying a few more precious seconds for their team to regroup.

Spawn hovered in mid-air, each rifle shot ringing out with lethal precision. His chains lashed out with a will of their own, snatching drones from the sky and crushing them with brutal efficiency. Smoke and fragments filled the air around him, but still, the swarm pressed in, relentless, like an unending wave. For every drone he destroyed, two more seemed to take its place, a dark cloud of mechanical death that blurred his vision and droned in his ears.
