JAMES P.O.V
"Sam called me like a million times! If he's drunk and ready to whine about how he hasn't got any sex yet, please shoot me now." I laughed as I rang him back.
"JAMES! PLEASE HELP ME!"
"Shut up, you cunt. Where have you been all night?"
"FOR FUCK SAKE, NOT NOW JAMES!"
"Wow, why so cranky?"
"Give Cameron, now!"
I pressed my phone into Cam's hands. He looked at me confused.
"Sam. He's panicking or something. I don't really know."
He just nodded and put the phone to his ear.
"Sam? What's going on?"
I couldn't hear what Sam was saying but Cam's face said a lot. Clearly something shocking happened.
"Calm down. Stressing and shouting isn't going to help." Cameron said trying to sooth Sam I guess.
"Okay, when did she go?" He nodded and hummed.
"And you know where? Might wanna try and call her."
He rubbed his face and sighed.
"What? She didn't take it?"
We were close to the bus now. I think only 5 minutes or so left.
"Why didn't you read the notes?! Where are you?"
He told Sam we were close and said goodbye.
"Okay, so Rose took off. Left her phone but took everything else."
"SHE LEFT?!" Danny broke his silent treatment.
"No, no she can't be gone. She can't. She knows too much, I need her."
I looked at him suspiciously. It sounded like he was madly in love with her. But that wasn't it, I'm sure. So what was he talking about?
"What you mean "she knows too much"?" I tried to meet his eyes but he refused to look my way.
"N-nothing. We shouldn't focus on me now. What about Sam?"
I agreed with him that it wasn't the time to focus on him. But I sure was going to find out what he was on about.
Sam came walking up to us. He was sweating, confused and his cheeks were wet. Cameron stopped him by his shoulders.
"Sam?" Cam couldn't meet his eyes. Sam kept looking down.
"Just gone." Sam mumbled.
"Come on, let's get to the bus." Cameron pushed Sam forward.
I got in last and closed the door.
"Luna is in Sam's bunk. Go to her, James." Chiara pointed to the area where we would sleep.
"No, I want to know what happened. I can't leave him alone right now." I pointed to Sam who was sat next to Chiara and cried softly.
"James. Go in there and talk to your girlfriend. Don't even dare to talk back at me. I've had it with you and Luna." Chiara shoot me a look and I know she was murdering me in her mind.
"What have we done now?! Why is it always me and Luna?!" I raised my voice, close to shouting.
"James, stop. It's not the time." Cameron grabbed my shoulders. I shook his hands off looking Chiara in her eyes.
"No, now is the perfect time. Chiara, shall I tell you what really is the reason Ben wanted you on this tour?"
"James! It's enough now, you cunt!"
Ben pushed me towards the bunks but I grabbed his hands and pushed back. I have always been stronger than him. Luckily for him Danny could catch him before he hit the ground.
"You're only a distraction, Chiara. That's all you are. Believe me, when you two fuck Ben thinks of Luna. That's the only girl on his mind."
I looked into her eyes. They were filled with hatred. She looked into my revenge-filled ones. She didn't shred one tear. She didn't even seem to care.
"I told you, go talk to Luna. I can't have you around Sam right now." She pointed to the bunks one more time.
I saw no other option and gave up. She won by being a cold bitch. Before I could say something again Cameron pushed me into the bunks and closed the door.
It was dark. I could feel my knees get weaker. The alcohol was kicking in at the wrong fucking moment. But then again, when was it ever the right moment? My head began to spin and there was only one thing I could do. I let myself fall to the floor. Everything was a blur from there on. One thing i was sure of though; as I lay there, lifeless and cold, someone dragged me back into the lights and saved my God forsaken soul.
-----
I haven't had a drop of alcohol since that night. I don't know how I managed that but I'm just happy I had.
The past week has been weird and uncomfortable. I kept close to Luna, making sure she was okay. That she wasn't going to hurt herself or others.
I haven't spoken to Chiara. Not once. I was in peace with it and so was she, that was clear. To be honest, she closed herself off a bit from everyone, except Sam. She comforted him. At the moment, Chiara was the only person he needed. Ben didn't care much, I don't even know if they talked about what I said. Something in that look Chiara gave me told me she knew all along.
Luna had to go back. Our ways parted, only temporarily though.
"You can't come with me. I need to do this alone. But I'll be home soon, I promise." She kissed my cheek. I saw the choker I gave her hang perfectly around her neck. Like it was supposed to do.
"I love you, Arthur." She smirked as she kissed me. I hated that name, except for when she said it. Her voice could call me the most horrible you could think of and I would still look at her in awe.
"I love you, Lion." I kissed her once more.
Lion, because she is strong. Lion, because she is majestic. Lion, because she's always watching over me. And if I let her slip away, my life would be over. Because I can't fight this world on my own. I need her, more than anyone or anything.
