7) Diwali lights and confessions under the fireworks

ENHYPEN was buzzing with excitement. They were about to board a plane to India for their first concert in the country, which happened to be during Diwali, the famous festival of lights. Fans had been anticipating their arrival for months, and the members could feel the energy through their social media feeds. The idea of experiencing Diwali in person—fireworks, festivals, colors—was thrilling for all of them.

"Guys, did you know that during Diwali, people light up their homes with these beautiful oil lamps and there are fireworks everywhere?" Sunoo explained, scrolling through photos of past Diwali celebrations on his phone as they waited at the airport. "They celebrate by lighting up the whole city!"

"That sounds amazing," Jake said, his face lighting up. "I've seen photos, but I can't imagine what it must look like in real life."

Niki leaned over, nodding with wide eyes. "I heard the whole country celebrates it together. Imagine being in the middle of that!"

Sunghoon, seated next to Jake, grinned and leaned over to peek at Sunoo's screen. "Guess we'll see soon," he said, nudging Jake. "Maybe we'll even have the best view from the concert stage."

Jake's eyes brightened at the thought. "That would be perfect!"

After boarding their flight, the members chatted about what they knew about Diwali, looking forward to the unique opportunity to perform on such a special night. The long journey was filled with excitement, and though they tried to get some rest, the excitement kept them awake, imagining what awaited them in India.

Finally, after hours in the air, they touched down in New Delhi, where enthusiastic fans had gathered at the airport to welcome them. The members, still a bit sleepy from the flight, were energized by the crowd's cheers and colorful signs. It was clear the fans had gone out of their way to make ENHYPEN feel at home, even from the moment they landed. There were decorations everywhere, lights and garlands that wrapped around posts, and bright colors that filled the space. The airport itself seemed to have a special festive glow, adorned with decorations celebrating Diwali.

"Wow... I can already feel the vibe," Heeseung said, looking around in awe as they made their way to their waiting cars.

On the drive to their hotel, the members eagerly took in the sights of the city, mesmerized by the buildings and homes lit up with bright, colorful lights. Lanterns hung from trees, and strings of tiny bulbs decorated doorways, casting a soft glow onto the streets below. It seemed like the entire city was dressed up for the occasion, making their first visit to India even more memorable.

"This feels like a movie," Jay remarked, his eyes fixed on the countless lights twinkling along the streets. "I can't believe we're actually here for Diwali."

The next day, the day of the concert, the group headed to the venue early for sound check. Though they were excited to perform, the members couldn't help but be distracted by the continuous stream of Diwali preparations happening around them. There were food vendors setting up stalls near the venue, families arriving dressed in vibrant traditional clothes, and the occasional burst of color from firecrackers as they went off in celebration.

Jake stood off to the side, his eyes wide as he took everything in. "I've never seen anything like this," he said to Sunghoon, who joined him after their sound check.

Sunghoon followed Jake's gaze, nodding. "It's incredible. I feel like there's this whole new energy around us." He glanced at Jake, noticing the way his eyes sparkled with excitement. "I have a feeling tonight's going to be special," he added softly, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

Jake turned to him, returning the smile. "Me too. It already feels like magic."

They shared a look, and Sunghoon felt a slight flutter in his chest. They had always been close, but lately, he'd noticed his feelings for Jake growing in ways he hadn't expected. He found himself constantly wanting to be near Jake, to share moments just like this.
