"How did you like it up in space?" Lincoln asks her as they sit outside his cave staring at the night sky while Octavia sleeps inside the cave - she's been tired lately and needs it. "Your home."

"The Ark isn't my home. Here is." Cal replies, looking to her brother beside her. "The one hundred is my home and always will be."

"Why didn't you like it up there?" Lincoln asks as she looks back up to the sky and the stars that litter the dark.

"My mother, mostly, but some of it was good. I had Finn and Raven and my dad. That was the only good thing up there. Twelve was when my life went to shit."

"Because you got put in the skybox?" Lincoln asks, referencing one of their last conversations that Cal told him about everything up at the Ark.

Cal nods. "Yeah. It got worse months ago, though. Put me in solitary for defending myself. I mean, I killed a guy, but it was his fault, really. He underestimated me."

Lincoln chuckles to himself. "You would be good in Trikru."

Cal looks over to him and smiles. "I would?"

Lincoln nods. "Yes, you wielding a sword and killing anyone who dares touch you, that's an amazing Trikru warrior."

Cal smiles even wider. "Maybe you could make me a sword."

"I just might."

"Come on. These foxholes aren't gonna build themselves." Bellamy says.

Cal shovels dirt out of the hole, helped by Fox and Harper. "Bellamy's an ass." Fox says after a while of digging.

Cal nods, agreeing with her friend's statement. "Yeah. I wish Clarke was here so he'd have something else to do but boss everyone around." Harper snorts at Cal's response and she smiles.

She hasn't heard anyone laughing for days and she missed it. She missed the first day when no one knew there were survivors and it was just the one hundred on the ground, laughing and having fun. Harper told her what the first day here in camp was like, how fun it was. Besides Bellamy trying to take control, it was the best anyone's ever had. Cal's kind of sad she missed it.

"He needs to get laid so he'll just kick back and relax." Harper says.

"Haven't you seen?" Cal asks. "He does get laid. I'm thinkin' he needs to get laid less. Knock down his ego a few pegs." The girls laugh and continue shoveling the dirt.

One shot rings out and startles the three girls inside the hole, which make them stop digging and look out of it at Bellamy racing over to a dude on watch. "Hey, what the hells the matter with you?" Bellamy asks as the three girls climb out of the hole they were digging to see what the fire was.

"I'm sorry, man." The boy says. "I fell asleep. I've been on watch all day."

Bellamy gets up to him and grabs him by his coat, shoving him against the tree behind him. "We've all been on watch all day! That bullet was one less dead grounder."

"Bell, you're scaring people." Octavia says.

"They should be scared!" He lets go of the boy and walks back down. "The bomb on the bridge bought us some time to prepare, but that time is up!" He stops, overlooking the crowd that formed behind Raven and Jasper. "The grounders are out there right now, waiting for us to leave and picking us off one by one when we do! Clarke, Finn, and Monty are gone, probably dead," Cal looks to the ground. "And if you want to be next, I can't stop you," Cal looks back up at him. "But no guns are leaving this camp! This camp is the only thing keeping us alive!" The crowd stares back at him, not daring to say anything or having anything to say. "Get back to work!"
