Riley slowly looked around. Some friendly girls were standing nearby. She thought about what Kay had said and decided to approach the girls.
"Hi?"
"Umm, excuse me, do we know her?"
"No, we don't."
"JANE! What did I tell you about talking?"
"Sorry Ashley."
"Well, I'm Riley. I just moved here."
"Tell me one good reason I should be talking to you right now."
Riley didn't know what to say. The whole move had been a blur and she really just wanted Kaydence to be proud of her for adjusting so well. Then they could play again, like before KK Kirsten: The Pop Star came out.
Riley decided to be straightforward.
"My sister Kaydence told me I needed to make new friends."
"Ashley, can I talk?"
"Ugh, yes Jane. But ONLY because you followed the rules..."
"What's her middle name?"
"Kirsten...?"
"Ashley, her sister is KK Kirsten! The KK! Kay..."
"Wait. Riley. Your sister is Kaydence Kirsten? The Kaydence in KK Kirsten: The Pop Star?"
"Yeah."
"You can be our friend."
