-Brunswick Farm. The next morning.-
Sleep had been far from restful as Ruby groaned tiredly before stirring. She didn't feel rested. In fact, she felt even more exhausted than when she had fallen asleep. It was a struggle to sit up as every fiber of her told her to just lie back down and just... Rest.
She fought off those thoughts and went to pick herself off the ground, seeing as it was well into the morning until she felt something tighten around her waist and a displeased whine caught her attention.
Ah right. She and Weiss slept together last night.
"Weiss." Ruby said tiredly. " Come on... We gotta go."
pt
"Five more minutes." Weiss mumbled.
"Weiss, we overslept." Ruby urged. "We still need to get to Atlas."
"Hey, sleepyheads!" Silver's voice echoed through the house quite loudly. "Wake up and pack up! Storm's let up some and we need to make some ground before it picks back up!"
"Must he be so loud?" Weiss grumbled.
"He's right though." Ruby pointed out. "We need to move while we can."
"Fine..." Weiss finally said as she picked herself up. "I guess we should get going."
It was an hour before everyone was gathered outside of the house they had slept in. Well... Perhaps 'slept' was the wrong word as no one felt rested and more tired than ever. The only ones who seemed to be doing decently were Maria and Silver, with Maria's experience helping her out along with Silver's training.
"Alright, we're all here finally." Silver said. "It's time we made tracks while we can. No telling when this storm'll pick up again."
"He's right." Ruby added. "Once we get to Argus, we'll talk to someone who can get us to Atlas safely. Then we'll discuss our next move once the Lamp is safe."
"Is anywhere safe anymore?" Yang asked, her voice sounding as tired as she looked.
"Better than leaving it out here where the Grimm can find it." Silver retorted.
Ruby looked to Weiss and saw her troubled expression.
"Weiss?" She asked.
"I've been thinking..." Weiss began. "Why do we have to get to Atlas?"
"To get the Relic to safety." Ruby replied.
"But why Atlas? Why not Vale, or Vacuo?" Weiss pressed. "Why even bother?"
"Weiss..." Ruby began looking appalled. "You can't be serious."
"I agree." Silver said. "We're already halfway to Argus, and turning around and heading to the Frontiers, or returning to Sanus at this point isn't an option. So pack your shit, and let's move."
"Aren't you tired of fighting Silver?" Blake droned. "Aren't you sick of it all?"
Silver turned to the Cat Faunus and gave her a withering glare.
"Not that tired." He stated firmly, an edge in his voice. "And I don't plan on sleeping here again."
"But Atlas is so far." Yang stated. "We can afford to stay a little longer."
"Every minute we spend here is a minute wasted!" Ruby shouted. "You guys don't get it! You don't know what Salem's capable of!"
"Ozpin did, but he isn't here." Oscar pointed out. "Are you saying you do?"
"Have you all forgotten what she did to me!?" Ruby snarled, her ears folding back as anger filled her voice. "I have a fairly decent understanding of what she's capable of."
