It seriously sucks how my trip to Liberty City got completely ruined the way it did. More time taken away that I could have spent with my family... For gods sake, I just wish I could find some way for Trevor and my dad to finally see eye-to-eye and start getting along... I know my dad is pretty protective of me, but he needs to understand why I love Trevor. And I know my dad said he'd try to get along with him, but... Urgh, I just don't see him sticking to those words for too long. The tension between those two is honestly too much for those two to even have a chance to get along.
And every time I ask my dad for a legitimate reason, he has different reasons that he gives me each time... So basically, he's given multiple reasons for why he hates Trevor. I mean, I know Trevor is a bit crazy sometimes... A lot... Uh, most of the time. But I don't care. I still love him. And the thing that sucks is... Despite the way Trevor acts, we usually get along pretty well most of the time, but... The second we start having any issues with my dad, all of a sudden we're doing nothing but getting into these heated arguments, which result in awkward tension, then followed by lots of make up sex... Rinse and repeat, you get the point.
Eh, I guess I should look on the bright side a bit... Atleast Trevor was able to get along with the rest of my family. But... I'm still worried that if my dad and Trevor can never get along... Our relationship might not work out. Hopefully if I can find a way for my dad to see Trevor's good traits, then... Maybe they'll start finally getting along...? Ugh, I don't know anymore.
...Argh, you know what? That damn trip happened months ago, I don't know why I'm still thinking about it. I got more important things I need to think about right now anyways. Like...
...A Birthday party! Specifically Katie's Birthday party. Yup, her Birthday's coming up soon... And I'm planning a party for her right at my club today! I've actually had the club closed tonight specifically for this party, and right now me and my workers have spent all day decorating the club for when everyone arrives in L.S. Man... I'm super excited for this party! It'll be nice to finally see my whole family again. I've got a pretty fun surprise gift for Katie too that I know she'll like.
"And... Done!" Izzy finished decorating the last table, stepping backwards to admit e the decorations.
"How's it look Sofi?" Izzy asked, looking over to me for approval.
"Hmmm..." I looked around, my eyes scanning the room to make sure everything was ready.
"Perfect. She'll love this!" I replied, giving a thumbs up. "Alright Izzy, you can take a break now. That applies to the rest of y'all as well!"
Izzy smiled back, her and everyone else leaving the room. Now all I have to do is wait...
So, I sat down in a nearby chair, looking up at the TV on the wall right above it, which had some random channel on. As I slumped over in the chair, I heard a text notification of off on my phone as well. I took my phone out of my pocket, seeing a text from Trevor which read:
'I'm gona hang out upstars until the party is done.'
...Yeah. Thing is, I did invite Trevor to the party. Katie was fine with it too, but Trevor ultimately decided not to after finding out my dad was gonna be there too. Said he wasn't exactly in the mood to wound up risking another big argument as well. It sticks that he can't come, but I guess it's probably for the best... For now, at least.
After texting Trevor back, I looked back up at the TV. On the screen, I could see an advertisement for this place called the Black Diamond casino, which was basically bragging about how much money it's made and such... And uh, other things of course. Yeah, I know exactly where that casino is, too. It only just finished being built a couple months ago, and the place has already managed to wrack in millions of dollars. Place basically became an overnight hit.
And there's also a reason why they call the place the Black Diamond as well. Apparently, the owner owns this incredibly rare black diamond, which is worth millions of dollars. Sometimes they even do the occasional showings for the diamond as well, and a lot of people love going to the casino just to look at the diamond itself. I wonder exactly how much that diamond would sell for...?
"Hey, Sofija..."
"YO!! Sofi!!"
I could suddenly hear Randell and Izzy calling to me, quickly snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Huh?"
"Someone's here for you!" Izzy says. I sat up in my chair and turned around, to see my dad next to Izzy and Randell.
"Dad!!" I excitedly shot up out of my chair, running up to dad and quickly hugging him.
"Whoa! Hey, Sofi... It's nice to see you again." Dad replied with a smile, as I let go of the hug.
"I know... It's been so long! Uhh... You might be a bit early, though. The party doesn't start for another hour." I replied.
"Yeah I know, I just wanted to say hi is all." Dad says. Dad paused, looking around the interior of the large room. "This place is nice... You really own this entire club?" He asked.
"Yup! Pretty cool, huh? I've been making a shitload of money from this place too." I proudly stated. "I can even show you around later if you'd like."
"Yeah, that'd be nice." Dad says with a nod, glancing around once more. "I honestly didn't know what to think at first when you first told me about this place, but now that I see it... I'm really impressed, Sofi. I'm glad you've found something that's been working out for you."
"Thanks, dad. I'm glad too... I mean, it's been a hell of a lot of work, but it's been worth it. A nice chance of pace too. And..." I paused, looking around to make sure nobody was listening. "And now I can finally make money in a non illegal way." I stated, lowering my voice.
"Heheh, yeah..." Dad chuckled, sitting down in a nearby chair. "Hey, speaking of all that... Have you found your blackmailer yet?" He asked.
"Eh... Not yet." I replied, shaking my head as I sat down on top of another nearby table. "And before you ask... Yes, I do have enough money to find whoever that asshole is. I just haven't actually taken the time to do that yet... Kind've forgot about it anyways, since they haven't contacted me in months."
"Yeah... You probably should at least think about doing so soon, though." Dad replied with a nod. "You never know when that person could contact you out of the blue one day."
"Yeah, I guess so..."
"Hey if it helps, I'm gonna be in town for a while... Roman's letting me take a break from work for a bit." Dad states. "If you find that blackmailer, let me know... I'll help you take them out together."
"Whoa, really? Hell yeah! Wait, you need anywhere to stay?" I quickly asked. "I have a living place upstairs I've been living in. It's way better than my old shitty apartment."
"Nah, don't worry. Angela's brother lives in the city, so me and her and staying with him." Dad replied. "His place is pretty nice too... Way nicer than anything I've ever stayed in, heheh."
"Nice... Oh! Is Angela coming to the party too?" I asked, dad nodding in response.
"Hell yeah... I can't wait for this party to start!"
"Yeah, me too... Hey, where are the bathrooms?" Dad asked.
"Uh... Back there, down that hall." I turned around, pointing to a hallway entrance across the room.
"Alright... I'll be right back." Dad sat up out of his chair, walking over to the bathrooms. I sat up as well, about to head into the kitchen to make sure everything back there was ready too. Opening the door though, I nearly ran into Izzy and Randell, who were standing right at the door.
"Whoa! Uh... What are you two doing?" I asked. "You guys weren't... Listening to our conversation. Were you?"
"Heehee, no... Well, only a little bit of it." Izzy giggled nervously. "Sorry, we both couldn't help but stare... Sofi, your dad is so hot!!"
"...The fuck? Why are you saying this to me?" I asked, feeling weirded out.
"Hey, it's a compliment! You have half his genes, after all." Izzy giggled.
"I'm not gonna lie, I was honestly surprised to see your dad walk in here..." Randell says.
"Why?"
"No offense, but... Uh..." Randell paused, his eyes darting away for a moment, as if he was hesitating on what he was about to say next.
"What? Spit it out already Randell."
"I just... Argh, fuck it." Randell sighed. "There's no judgemental way to say this, but I'm honestly surprised that you're close with your dad. I figured someone who was dating someone like Trevor would have daddy issues or whatever."
"...Heh... I guess you would think that, huh?" I chuckled. "Nah, not the case. I've always been close to my dad... He's a pretty cool dad, to say the least."
"Yeah, he seems like it..." Randell paused, a smirk forming on his face. "And Izzy was right, Sofija... Your dads hot as fuck. Major dilf energy there..."
"Ew! The hell is wrong with you?" I quickly retorted in disgust.
"Whaaat? Relax babe. It's like Izzy said, it's a compliment!" Randell replied.
"Ok, first off... I don't want either of you saying that to my face ever again." I state. "Second of all, my dad has a girlfriend... So if either of you even try and flirt with him, I won't hesitate to fire you. Got it?"
"Relax Sofi... I'm too much of a professional to do that!" Randell says, a smug smirk on his face as he pointed over to Izzy. "You should be telling that to her, not me."
"Hey! I'm no homewrecker... Uh, usually." Izzy defensively replied. "Hey, don't worry! I'll be on my best behavior tonight for this party... Uh, when's the party supposed to start?" She asked.
"Uhh..." I paused, taking out my phone and looking at the time. "In about 50 minutes or so."
"Yay! I'm so excited for this party." Izzy says, clapping excitedly.
"Yeah... Me and the other chefs are still cooking everything back there." Randell says, pointing to the kitchen. "Everything should be ready in time."
"Good. Thanks, Randell."
Sounds like this party is gonna go perfectly... Oh, am I looking forward to it.
