DESOLATION. || A FE2 AU.

|| 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬.. ||

The cyan, glistening, color of the waters have darkened..

To a purple-ish color, filled with yellow crystals.

.. Why is that?

Why must I share the same fate with her?

But.. knowing her, she would've wanted me to live. No use to dwelling on the past, is what she'd say.

Teleporting out of my citadel, I went to the lobby.

Maybe I should tell Marred or Fallen about this? Maybe both.. they're always together after.. what apparently happened to Marred.

I got on the lift, waiting for my supernatural descent to Fallen's map. It didn't take a while for me to be in the purple map with the same glowing yellow crystals.

Platform to platform I jumped, trying to get to Fallen and Marred's usual place in the map.

Once I caught sight of the big platform with the big tree, both of them were there. I saw them.

That's.. a relief. I suppose.

I walked towards them, initiating a greeting and waving.

"Hey, you guys."

I said, Marred noticed me and proceeded to wave, while Fallen stared at me with a weird look.

"Hi Citadel! What brings you here?"

Marred exclaimed.

"I.. don't have some good news.."

I sheepishly said. I glanced at the ground with my hands in front of me, not wanting to see Marred's face contort to a frown. Although, I could tell Fallen was listening this time.

"Well, it happened again.. to me."

I said, as I spoke before Marred barraged me with her concerned face and questions.

"N-Now.. before you ask.. I'm fine! The purple stuff was really far from me, so I had plenty of time to get to the lobby."

I quickly reassured Marred. I saw her breathe a sigh of relief and relax.

"Oh, phew.. thank goodness, I thought you got injured or something.."

Marred chuckles awkwardly.

"..Anyway.. I'm sorry that happened to you, I know your map must've meant so much to you.."

Marred consoled me. I didn't need it, but I appreciated it.

"Hey, it's alright, okay? No need to apologize or anything.."

I reassured her, again.

"I'm just glad you're safe, okay?"

Marred said, I simply nodded in response.

"Anyway.. do you have any other map that you can stay with?"

Marred asked me, I've already made a decision.

".. I'd like to stay at Decrepit's map."

I said, Fallen threw in a comment after.

"The underwater skeleton guy?"

They asked. It wasn't a mean comment, I'm sure he wouldn't mind being called that since it was true..

"Hey, Fallen! Don't you go around calling Decrepit that!"

Marred exclaimed, I chuckled a bit in response.

"No, it's fine, Marred. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if he was here.."

I said, a giggle escaping me.

"Well, if you say so.."

Marred said, as she waved goodbye as I was preparing to leave.

Right.. I could just bask in the deep waters of my best friend's map. It'd be nice, I suppose.
