As they finished their lunch, Lexi pushed back from the table, a smile on her lips. "Thank you for lunch, Reg," she said, her voice polite. "But I should probably get going."
Reg was on his feet in an instant, his movements a predator's grace. "Let me walk you out," he rasped, his voice low and husky.
Lexi nodded, feeling a flutter in her chest. But as they reached the door, Reg's hand shot out, pinning her against the wall. His body pressed against hers, his heat enveloping her. Lexi gasped, her heart pounding against her ribs.
"I'm already dying to take you right now," he whispered, his breath a scorching caress against her ear. "Don't tempt me, Lexi."
Lexi moaned, her head falling back. His words sent a bolt of desire through her, her body melting into his. She felt his erection press against her, a hard length that left no doubt of his desire. His mouth found the curve of her neck, his lips a scorching brand against her skin.
"Reg," she gasped, her fingers digging into his shoulders. "We can't...not here."
Reg groaned, his body vibrating with tension. But with a muttered curse, he spun away, leaving Lexi gasping against the wall. He turned back to her, his eyes burning with an intense heat.
"Tonight," he rasped, his voice low and husky. "I'll send a car for you at eight. Be ready, Lexi."
Lexi nodded, feeling a thrill of anticipation. She watched as Reg strode back into his office, the door slamming shut behind him. And she couldn't help but wonder...what exactly had she just agreed to?
