"But why of ALL girls did you choose me?!" I ask them. "The universe told me that you needed help with a lot of things. Such as learning to love yourself and express your femininity however you wish.' Solitaire replies. Then I happen to get up off the floor and look at myself in a mirror. My acne is in a current breakout, and I'm wearing an old baggy T-shirt with jeans that are too big for me. Among other things. "You're a hot mess, girl." Paris says. "But we are going to help you."

"Tell us, Anna." "Do you want to live by the ideals your mother set for you? Or do you want to be your own woman?" They ask. And then I take a moment to reflect. 'Yes..." I replied to them, holding back tears. 'I really wanted a hot girl summer." I add.

"You're in our universe now." "Now you can live out your wildest dreams for a summer." Paris says. And then I want to pass out again. Next thing I know, Paris slaps me hard across the face. 'Wake up Anna!! Or would you rather us teleport you back to your reality where the police officers are actively looking for you?" she exclaims. Solitaire is nodding her head in agreement. Knowing this is MY reality now, I smile at them and say "Alright, I'm awake. Where do we start?"

Next thing I know, I am following my idols down a hallway. I still don't exactly know where I am, but my gut tells me to go with it. We approached a room. And Solitaire opens the door. It's a bedroom. But it has a comfortable bed with several cozy blankets and super soft sheets. My idols must know what I like. The sun is shining through a huge window. And there's a HUGE walk-in closet with what looks like HUNDREDS of outfit choices.

"Before we let you change, we need to do a trade." Paris says. "Please hand me over your smartphone." I initially object. But then she presents me with a box. And in it, is an old school flip phone. I always wanted one of those. So, I gave her my iPhone in exchange for it. Solitaire then presents me with another box. Inside is an unbelievably beautiful necklace with a garnet in it. As I was born in January, garnet is my birthstone. "It's a gift from me to you, as a way of welcoming you to our reality.'  "Feel free to pick something to wear from the closet." "It has your current sizes.' They speak. "Oh, and when you're done, please meet with us. We are down the hall."

After they close the bedroom door, I go peek inside the closet. Good lord there are so many choices. "Did Barbie even have this many choices??" I think to myself. After what feels like an hour of trying to find something to wear, I decide on an outfit. The outfit is a cute pink blouse, with some skinny jeans. Casual. Then I had to pick shoes, and I chose a pair of black heels that have been somehow modified for me to still wear despite me having flat feet. I put the necklace on and brushed my messy hair. It takes me a hot minute to learn how to walk in those heels, but then again, I've seen enough episodes of Project Runway and Drag Race.

I take a deep breath and reach for my new phone. And I open the door. And then I walk down to the end of the hall. Where my idols are standing waiting for me.

"That's an improvement." They both exclaim. "Do you want to join us for tea?" Solitaire asks. I smile and join them.
