...
These days, HEART BURGER gets crowded during lunchtime, so Style tries to avoid visiting Fadel at noon. However, unable to resist his longing, he, being the lovestruck person he is, has to see Fadel three times a day after each meal. As a result, after lunch break ended, Style’s tall figure appears in front of HEART BURGER.

He sees Kant’s car parked outside, which doesn’t surprise him much. His friend has already managed to charm the stubborn cat and is now doing his best to impress his future brother-in-law by shifting from tattoo artist to waiter.

What does surprise Style today, however, is the sign announcing that the restaurant will be closed this Friday. He stands reading the sign outside, confused why Fadel, the grumpy giant, didn’t mention it when they talked every day.

After finishing reading the sign, Style pushes the door open and steps inside. There are still some customers around, but not many. His long strides take him straight to the chef.

He drops himself onto one of the chairs in front of the open kitchen, where Fadel is stationed, resting both arms on the table, and looks at Fadel’s expressionless face staring back at him.

“Are you closing the restaurant on Friday?”

“Yeah.”

“Where are you going?”

“Going to run some errands with Bison.”

“What kind of errands?”

“Just... regular errands.” Fadel answered evasively, avoiding Style’s gaze as he squinted, suspicious. He looked over at Kant and Bison, who were chatting in one corner.

Style tapped the table rhythmically, his mind overthinking as usual. But he didn’t ask any odd questions, even though his thoughts were veering toward silly ones, like wondering if these “regular errands” were actually some secret date.

He held back his suspicions, changing the subject.

“Regular errands are regular errands, then. Have you eaten yet?”

“Ate around eleven. Was afraid I wouldn’t get a chance to have lunch if it got busy like yesterday. You staying long?”

“I gotta go in half an hour. Can’t stay long, or Dad’ll scold me.”

“You coming back after work?”

“Of course! My boyfriend’s handsome, so I’ve gotta come keep an eye on things, so everyone knows the territory here is well-guarded. By the way, have you ever been jealous of me? Ever, hmm?”

“Nonsense.”

Style muttered a curse under his breath.

“Yeah, yeah, I know you’re cold. But you could indulge me a bit, show a little jealousy or possessiveness. That time you came over to my place, I thought I’d finally melted your ice-prince behavior. And now, here you are, back to being cold again.”

“Why are you overthinking?” Fadel replied, and then turned toward the drink fridge. He grabbed a box that looked like a snack box and handed it to Style.

..
He placed it in front of him and explained, “Banoffee pie. Made it for you since this morning.”

Seeing the dessert, Style’s annoyed expression from earlier softened into a wide smile.

“You made it yourself?”

“Yeah.”

“That’s adorable. And I must be pretty amazing for breaking through the ice prince’s attitude.” He praised himself, as he usually did, while opening the dessert box. Without hesitation, he took a spoon Fadel had prepared and scooped up a bite. The sweet taste instantly lifted his mood.
