.................

He realized that he had stuffed himself into Fadeel's car since they left the burger shop. Now it seemed to be time to get out of the car and head into the house.

He felt as if his legs were heavy, as if thousands of stones were weighing him down. He didn't want to step out of the car, even though the modern two-story house in front of him used to be a place he wanted to explore the inside of the most.

He checked his watch; his heart was racing and he was clearly anxious. It was only half past nine. Time passed incredibly slowly, with each second feeling like an hour.

Fadeel turned off the car engine. His expression was neutral, revealing no emotions. The tall figure saw him sitting still and turned to give him a stern look.

"Are you not getting out of the car?"

"I will."

"Have you eaten anything yet?"

"Yeah, I have. What about you? Have you eaten yet? How about some dim sum..."

"No, I'm not hungry today."
...
Style nodded in agreement. The casual conversation couldn't improve the atmosphere. He took a deep breath and reminded himself that he had been with Fadeel for a long time, and he had never thought about harming him (meaning killing him or something like that). Right now, he probably didn’t intend to do anything to him.

It was he who was overthinking because he accidentally discovered the other person's secret. Okay, stay composed, Style. He knows his secret, but Fadel still doesn’t know that he knows. If he didn't want to continue holding hands and being in a relationship with this guy, he should clearly end things.

He might as well say he has lost his passion. He didn’t intend to pursue a relationship with a criminal.

He took a deep breath until his chest swelled, closing his eyes to meditate and summon courage.

Fadel tilted his head, observing Style’s behavior. Did he realize that since they met this morning, he had displayed a lot of suspicious signs—avoiding eye contact, making strange faces as if he were constantly praying, and sneaking glances at him as if he were afraid? It made Fadel, who intended to confront Style, feel helpless because he could see that Style was scared of him.

It was an awkward situation between them. What had started as an intention to go out and take revenge ended up with him dragging Style back home.

Fadel understood the meaning of being defeated. Of course, he knew what it meant, but he never thought he would end up being defeated by anyone. Yet, it seemed he was falling for Style.

He might be slightly better than Bison in that he realized from the start that killing Style to silence him was not an option.
.....

....

The situation was really awkward, as if he knew everything was coming to an end, yet he was the one holding on with words about revenge, about getting back at him, about... something like that.

"Style."

"Huh? Why are you calling me?"

"I just wanted to say you should hurry up and get out of the car. You're sweating a lot. Is it hot? Go cool off in the air conditioning inside."

"Got it, got it. You’re ordering me around like a dad."

He complained while opening the door and stepping out of the car, walking ahead of Fadel. Fadel rolled his eyes at Style’s rambling, seemingly annoyed, but when he thought that after this situation was over, he might not hear that voice again, his weariness instantly turned into sadness.
