Chapter 6
-Ryan Fox-
"So, what do you guys want to talk about?" I ask as I kick my feet up on the empty chair next to me. I'm seated at a rectangular table along with my band members and my publicist, Mr. Windle.
"Well, I would like to know the name of that girl," Mr. Windle says, tapping the table with his pen.
"Oh, that's easy, her name is Alyssa Taylor," Matt says with a shrug. My head whips around to face him instantly.
"Matt! You weren't supposed to tell him that!" I hiss across the table. This isn't good. She's going to kill me.
"Wait, I wasn't?" He stares at me, slightly confused, slightly apologetic.
"Yeah, she told me not to tell him about her," I frown.
"Great, well I want you to be seen with Alyssa more often," Mr. Windle cuts in, "The media will eat you guys up."
"I don't know if she'll agree with you," I frown.
"Well, we also need to record your songs, the new album is due by your birthday, and you'll need to write two more songs, record, promote, and tour." Mr. Windle frowns.
"Yeah, I know," I shrug, "but you guys need to promise not to tell the media her name." I watched as they all nod and I nod back. Good. Now she won't kill me for letting them know her name.
"So did you hear me? You need to be seen with her, and make sure that the media doesn't find out her name. That's what makes it interesting. The whole mystery about this girl you're with. People will eat it up," Mr. Windle smirks.
"So, I just hang out with her?" I ask skeptically. I mean, I guess it would be fun to be around someone who's not famous, someone who's normal.
"Yeah, that's all there is to it," He grins. "Okay?"
"Okay," I agree.
"And you need to be in the studio on Monday at seven. Do not forget," Mr. Windle states and I nod to him. The door swings open and a tall woman with dark hair stared at me with disgust. Abigail is back.
"Ryan! Who the hell is this girl?" She yells, holding up a picture of me and Alyssa.
"Who let you in here?" I ask back. Oh God, this isn't going be good.
"Answer me," She frowns, repeatedly jabbing the picture.
"You're not my girlfriend anymore, so you can't tell me what to do," I smirk, proud of my comeback. Thank God I broke up with this psycho. "Now Matt would you kindly call security to escort my exgirlfriend out of here."
"Certainly," Matt calls. What are best friends for.
"Tell me who she is! Is she your girlfriend? And why is she everywhere with you?" Abigail screeches. Everywhere? It was only one place. Yeah, I think breaking up with this girl was the best decision of my life. The security guards soon come up and drag her away, after apologizing about letting her up here in the first place.
"Well, that's all we needed to talk about so you all may leave." Mr. Windle states. We all stood up and left. Once we were outside, Matt walked over to me.
"So, you're just gonna hang out with her for publicity?" He asks with a grin.
"Yeah, I guess, but she'll be fine with it," I nod. I hope.
"Okay, and if she has any hot friends, you know who to call," He says with a smirk and left.
