Chap.5~The Party

I got Kaitlin right before the party because I didn't want her to ask questions,she doesn't know that Jake is coming. I knew she wouldn't have came if I told her.

There was a lot of people at the party by now and I was bored. I was sitting on the stairs and said 'hi' or 'the party's upstairs' not bothering to see who it is. Usually they would make a comment under their breath or just plain ignore me but one person cleared they're throat trying to get me to look at them. I looked up to see Jake with Lea, they're arms are linked and she's smirking at me. I knew it was going to happen, she was prettier then me and she WAS more popular then me. She never stops flirting. Looked to see Jake with his head down. I needed to tell him about her plan. If he doesn't listen to me then I'll have Alex help. Suddenly his head goes up and he kisses Lea. I look away my eyes are so full of tears I can barely seems head is so overwhelmed with thoughts and my heart is broken with the sadness of what I just saw.

Before I knew it I was up and and walking, then running, I went to his room and closed the door I was in his bed, tears rolling down my cheeks. I as deep in thought. How could someone do this? My best friend for years turns around and sabotaged me and ruined my life. I can only trust Alex. I. Was snapped out of it when Alex opens the a little then slips inside. He came to me and hugged me. Something I really needed. I told him what happened. I never had trouble opening up to him. He always cared but he never pitied me.

"Stay in here as long as you want, I need to get back to the party, it will end soon. I'll check on you soon. You can do much better then Jake, if he doesn't see that then he's crazy." He gave me one more hug before leaving the room.

I needed something to get my mind off of everything so I turned his tv and found Nemo on his night stand, I started laughing he walked in and saw me.

"What's so funny?"

" you have Nemo on your nightstand!" He turned bright red which made me laugh more.

"What?! I like that movie."

I just shook my head and put it in. I wasn't gonna let this go.

After it started he sat down next to me on his bed.

When we were at a boring part I fell asleep. I didn't realize how tired I really was.

"JUST KEEP SWIMMING!!" Yup, I woke up and yelled that (whenever I sleep in a car I actually wake up singing I song I like 😂 usually Taylor Swift😏)

"Calm down, I get it, I won't stop!" Alex said throwing his hands up in surrender.

"Good." I said acting serious, until I couldn't hold it in and we both started laughing our heads off. 

I looked at the clock and saw that it was 11:30. I suddenly became worried and annoyed. My mom told me to be home at 10:30 so I'm now an hour from curfew.

"I called your mom she said that you could just sleep here tonight." How does he always read my minds!!

"Ok" I immediately rolled off his bed with one of his blankets, planning to roll on to the floor and land on my stomach, but sadly I failed and at the end of the bed I slipped and landed on my side (sadly this also happened to me, yesterday) I couldn't stop laughing I made a small bed on the floor with like all his blankets and pillows. He had like 4 water bottles in his room. He was lightly throwing them at me.

" what happened to your party?" I asked as he threw another at me and I tossed it back.

"By 11 most people were gone so I just told the rest to leave" he said with a shrug

"Oh, I'm a Ninja" I said as I threw up my hands so I was planning to karate chop the water bottle that came to me when I looked over and saw that he started recording me, right then he threw the water bottle and it hit me in the middle of my forehead and I fell laughing like 'ow ow ow ow' (again that happened to me, I have a bump and a bruise😂) then, he posted on Instagram. He made me forget that my friend is using my crush. And that he doesn't care that I like him. Well at least I still have him.

I guess, quoting Dory, I need to just keep swimming.
