"Umm... So you... No..." I say. I've never told these things before so I don't know what to do.
"JUST SPIT IT OUT!!! I thought you were feisty.." She mutter, loud enough for me to hear.
"I like Jake."
" ohhhhh.... Did you hear that everybody!! KAITLIN LIKES JAKE!!!!"
I watched as my self confidence melts in front of me, all my trust is gone.
I ran off crying and skipped 5th period. I was so upset, I was hiding in the girls bathroom so I wouldn't be in trouble, the one by the portables that no one uses. I hear a knock on the door and was curious because it was stalls, not a single bathroom but then I hear them talk...
"Is anyone in there?" I could tell by the sweet voice that makes me melt that it was Jake. I heard the door slowly open and so I hid in a stall.
"Kait? I know your in here, and I know why and that's ok."
I slowly opened the stall door and walked out, my eyes were puffy and my makeup was smeared all over my face.
"You do?" I seemed out before I started to cry again. He came and hugged me and I knew then that it wasn't as bad as I thought.
"Yeah, Alex told me that your dog died yesterday." Then I knew that we weren't on the same page.
"Ummm, yeah."
"You should come to gym, your parents won't get mad if you just get a tardy." He said changing the subject.
" yeah, I guess." I said softly. " But I need to fix... This" I said pointing to my face, it looked horrible.
"Okay. I'll wait."
That was an awkward ten minutes but then he was by my side the rest of the day, but for the wrong reasons. I was trying to figure out what happened with backstabbing Lea. Why would she do that? That's the worst thing that's ever happened to me.
