Yashwi pov:
I went out with my friends Akshay and Pooja, though it wasn't my plan initially. Harsha encouraged me to go out, so I agreed, and we ended up at the park. After spending some time there, I headed back home, only to find that the house was completely empty. I tried calling everyone in my family - my mom, dad, everyone - but none of them picked up the phone, which started to worry me.
Then, out of the blue, Akshay's phone rang, and it was Harsha on the other end. Akshay answered, and they spoke for about five minutes. She didn't share much about the conversation before she ended the call, leaving me curious and a bit uneasy.
I looked at Akshay, my mind racing, and asked, "What happened? Where is everyone?" Akshu replied that Harsha had sent her to the hospital. Confusion washed over me, but I didn't have time to process it. All morning, I had this unsettling feeling that something was about to happen. Without wasting a single minute, we rushed to the hospital.
When we arrived, what I saw filled me with confusion and dread. My grandpa was lying on a hospital bed, and my heart sank. I turned to my mom and asked in a clear voice, "Mom, what happened?" I needed answers, but before she could respond, my grandma stepped forward and delivered news that shocked me even more. My mind was racing as I tried to comprehend the gravity of the situation. The atmosphere in the room was heavy with concern, and I felt an overwhelming mix of fear and helplessness.
When I arrived at the hospital, my grandma greeted me with tears in her eyes. She hugged me tightly, her voice trembling as she spoke. "Your grandpa is in a severe condition," she said, the weight of her words hanging heavy in the air.
In that moment, my heart sank. I had not anticipated such a distressing situation, and the shock hit me like a wave. I felt tears welling up in my own eyes as I realized the gravity of what she was saying. My grandpa and I share a special bond; he has always been a source of strength and wisdom in my life, and the thought of him in such a fragile state was almost unbearable.
As my grandma continued to cry, I couldn't help but join her, feeling overwhelmed by emotions. The reality of the situation set in, and I struggled to comprehend the possibility of losing someone so dear to me. I wrapped my arms around her, both of us finding comfort in each other amidst the turmoil, sharing the pain of uncertainty and fear about what the future might hold for my grandpa.
Author pov :
grandpa lay on the bed, one eye slightly open, slowly turning his gaze toward Yeshwi. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation as everyone in the room focused intently on her, clearly expecting her to react in a specific way.
It became apparent that this was not just a casual visit; it was all part of a carefully devised plan to encourage Yeshvi to marry Adharva. The family members exchanged subtle glances and nods, their expressions betraying their true intentions. They were acting in a way that seemed extraordinarily dramatic, manipulating the situation to evoke an emotional response from Yeshwi.
While they played their roles with remarkable skill, both Akshu and Yeshvi remained blissfully unaware of the underlying scheme. They were genuinely concerned for my grandpa's well-being, focused solely on him in his time of need. The others, however, were orchestrating a delicate dance, hoping to steer Yeshwi toward a future they believed would be better for her, all while masking their true motives.
Yashwi : "What did the doctor say?" I asked, my heart racing as I braced for her response.
With tears streaming down her face, my grandma replied, "They said we should fulfill all his wishes while he's still with us." Her voice cracked with emotion, and she leaned into Yeshvi's arms, crying uncontrollably.
Yeshvi held her tightly, trying to comfort her while absorbing the weight of my grandma's words. The reality of the situation hit hard; it felt as if time was slipping away from us. My grandpa, who had always been a pillar of strength in our lives, was now in a vulnerable state, and the thought of losing him was almost too much to bear.
As my grandma sobbed into Yeshvi's shoulder, I could see how deeply this affected them both. It was a moment filled with heartache and longing, as we all struggled to come to terms with the gravity of the situation and the unspoken fears that lingered in the air.
(Author: grandma is acting is to good but this is all for Yashwi, to make her agree with marriage to Adharva)
The next day, my grandpa was discharged from the hospital and returned home. The entire family rallied around him, making sure he was comfortable and well cared for. There was a gentle, nurturing energy in the house as everyone pitched in, attending to his every need, from preparing his meals to ensuring he rested properly.
Despite the intense events of the previous day, there was now a sense of calm and relief in the air. My grandma stayed close to him, helping him settle in and making sure he had everything he needed. She kept a watchful eye, showing him constant love and care, while still casting knowing glances toward Yeshvi and Adharva, as if quietly hoping that her plan would unfold as intended.
Meanwhile, Yashwi spent much of her time near my grandpa, looking after him and checking on his comfort. Adharva, too, was frequently by his side, offering his support and making sure my grandpa felt uplifted. The family saw these moments between Yeshvi and Adharva as hopeful signs, subtly encouraging the bond they hoped would deepen between them.
Only Akshu and Yashwi remained unaware of the underlying motives, genuinely focused on helping my grandpa recover. For them, this was a time to care for a beloved family member; they had no idea that the rest of the family still had their eyes on a different outcome-one that involved a future for Yashwi and Adharva together.
