Natural abilities didn't exist just like the folklore that she had been taught by her family wasn't real.

She wasn't a natural like this FBI agent was telling her, she could just do things because she had to in order to survive.

"This is an incredible opportunity for you Lilith, i think it would be good for you." Agent Briggs said, his voice soft and she could tell it was sincere.

after receiving no response once again he sighed and moved his forearms onto the desk inside his office where they had planned to meet, moving closer to the teen who sat opposite him.

"you escaped when you were 15." he starts and her breath catches in her throat.

"14 years, 364 days." She replies,
"i was not 15."

"okay." He breathes, finally getting a response from the stubborn girl.

He knew all about Lilith, he also knew all about Astrid.

She reminded him a lot of Lia when he first met the girl and he knows that she has potential hidden inside of her she wasn't given the opportunity to fully understand just like the other brunette natural.

"you were always different Lilith, by accepting my offer you can finally understand and use what you can do for good, you will help save lives." he explains watching her expression as she listens intently.

"Say yes, you will be with other kids like yourself, a home, a future." He pleads.

She clears her throat, sitting up straight and looking up at him.

"fine." she whispers shyly and he nods happily hiding his relief.

_______

With her bag thrown over her shoulder Lilith was standing outside of the bookstore she worked at, waiting for the car that was supposed to be picking her up.

Her foot tapped against the pavement as she hummed to the song stuck in her head, another curse of her eidetic mind.

The sound of a car speeding down the street made her look up and there sat in the Porsche were the teens in the store a few days prior.

"beep beep." The brunette, Michael said loudly, whilst beeping the horn.

"lets go!" he continued, that smirk still on his face made Lilith think it never left.

"you've got to be kidding me." she laughed a a little making her way over and throwing her bag inside before taking a seat next to the cute blonde.

Michael takes off speeding down the road whilst singing to the overly loud music playing from the cars radio making the Blonde boy sat in the passenger seat beside him sigh loudly and cover his ears whilst the girls watch Lilith from the corner of their eyes.

"hey." Lilith says softly facing the blonde who was mumbling numbers beside her.

"h-hi!" she blurts.

"there are only 3-5% of girls born with the combination of blue eyes and brown hair worldwide."

She smiled, Lilith liked statistics too.

Her brain sometimes felt too full and letting it out was calming.

She usually did it whilst she was alone to not freak people out but this was cool too.

"9.3% of the American population has blonde hair and blue eyes." She replies and the blondes head looks up instantly, a smile blessing her beautiful face.

"Sloane Tavish." She introduces holding out her hand with a grin.

"Lilith Wood."  She responds shaking it.

"looks like Sloane met her match." Lia says in amusement from the other side of Sloane making the blondes cheeks heat.

"so what can you do?" Michael asks from the front, a hand still on the wheel as he leans the other out of the car to feel the wind.

"I can manipulate things i guess." she shrugs playing with rim of her shirt.
"And remember things." she adds nodding.

"cool cool, and what does manipulation mean exactly?" Michael asks scratching his head.

"control or influence a person or situation cleverly or unscrupulously." Sloane says, recalling the exact dictionary definition.

"i can make someone do something, i am good with words." She further explains.

"What about you guys?"

_______

With a full rundown of the past year these teens had spent in the program, Lilith wasn't sure if it was the right decision agreeing to this.

They had been driving for around 2 hours by now and she was starting to wonder just how far they were going.

A phone rings and the boy she had learned was Dean answered.

"Briggs." He greeted, his voice low.

"yeah were almost home, should be there in a few." He states making Lilith happy, her legs were dead and as much as she was enjoying sharing statistics and facts every now and again with Sloane she was about to fall asleep.

"Okay bye."  Dean finishes before ending the call and addressing everyone.

Home they had referred to the program as that a few times since Lilith had been with them and she couldn't fathom how solving cases with the FBI could feel like a family to a bunch of teens. Of course she didn't have a family to go home too but surely the others did. Right.

"Briggs has a case, six year old Mackenzie McBride."
