"You can kiss a hundred boys in bars,"
"I mean.. nothing like that has bother me before, I couldn't care less.. but I hate this character because of you.."
Vega stopped petting their cat, turning on the TV to distract from the silence and their ever increasing thoughts.
"You're just so.. OBSESSED WITH HIM!.. And I felt like nothing.. I was your boyfriend and you paid more attention to a fictional character.."
"It made me feel like that's what I should've been.."
"Shoot another shot, try to stop the feeling,"
Vega mindlessly browsed the channels and the shows that were currently on.
"They always get rid of the good things, don't they?.. Half of this is just trash or bad reality TV."
Settling in just watching a kids TV show, Vega placed the remote down on the coffee table and pulled Daisy into their lap, despite the cat meowing out in protest.
"So dramatic! How dare I move you a couple inches into my lap!" They scolded the feline.
"You can say it's just the way you are,"
Sitting with Daisy in their lap, Vega slowly zoned out and got lost into their thoughts.
"It's just the way we are, I guess.. I'm stubborn and very persistent.. and you.. I don't even know who you are anymore.. I guess you just don't care about anything in that damn relationship."
"Why'd you give me another chance then?.. Did you even love me or were you just messing with my mind and heart?"
"Make a new excuse, another stupid reason,"
"Why'd we almost break up again a few weeks ago?.. I remember being sick and I just felt unloved and I know I told you so many times that you don't love me.. but that's how I felt, I told you so many times!.. and then you said you didn't and it caught me off guard and made me panic.."
"Maybe it's my fault.. but sometimes we break up for so many dumb reasons!.."
"Good luck, babe (well, good luck), well, good luck, babe (well good luck),"
"I guess none of that matters, I don't want to be bitter or mad, good luck I guess.. you have me blocked so that must mean we can't be friends either.."
"Good luck to myself too, I need it.."
"You'd have to stop the world just to stop the feeling,"
"You'd have to do something heinous to me or somebody else for me to stop loving you.."
"Good luck, babe (well, good luck), well, good luck, babe (well good luck),"
Vega shook their head and looked down at their lap, noticing their furry companion had left.
"I regret getting this cat, it was false advertisement they put on her information sheet!"
They slowly smiled and quietly laughed.
"But I still love her, she's a good cat sometimes."
"You'd have to stop the world just to stop the feeling,"
"I should probably feed her and myself, just to get my mind off of this after all, but I know it'll still come back later"
Vega promptly got off of the couch and headed into the kitchen. Grabbing a plastic cup and scooping cat food into it and then into Daisy's food bowl, placing the cup back into the container and shutting it afterwards.
