The following months were busy as usual. Interviews, promo, rehearsal and filming. On the one day off that everyone has, Mel has invited them to her place for a barbecue. Laughter and easy conversation fills the air as the sun beams down on everyone. Suddenly a scream is heard followed by splashing water. "I'm gonna kill you Pedar!" Joshua laughs.
Before he can climb out, people start taking off their shoes and socks before jumping in, others just straight jumping into the pool. "Do not get any food in my pool!" Christian shouts. "Told you we should have put the cover on before everyone got here." Mel smirks. "Shut up!" She rolls her eyes before kissing her cheek. Kylie smiles as she sits next to Malia in the lawn chair. She was now six months pregnant and her belly was definitely noticeable. "You don't wanna go swimming?" She asks. "Nah, I'm just gonna read for a bit." Malia holds up her book. Kylie nods. "Ok, well, call me if you need me ok?" She kisses her head. "I will, i promise." Kylie reaches down and kisses her stomach. Malia smiles as she watches her wife get in the pool. "I saw that." Mel sits next to her. "Saw what?" "I saw you checking her out. Hey, no shame! That's your wife, you have every right. I'm just saying, maybe be more subtle, that's all." She shrugs. "Oh, like you're subtle?!" Malia jokes. "Have you seen my wife?!" "Have you seen mine?!" They both laugh and enjoy the heat from the sun shining on them.
Kylie later emerges from the water, dripping as she reaches for a towel. She wasn't the only one who was dripping however, as Malia clenched her thighs together. Damn hormones. "You ok there, Malia?" Ruby smirks as she dries her hair before sitting next to her. "Um, I'm fine." "Mhmm." Ruby nods. "Well can you blame me? Look at her." She nods towards Kylie, who's now talking to Mel. "Well, she is Kylie." Ruby shrugs. "Anyways, how do you feel? How's the baby?" Malia smiles. "She's good. I'm definitely gonna be a soccer mom though, that's for sure." Ruby laughs. "She's been kicking alot?" Malia nods. "Oh yes, oh! She's kicking!" She grabs Ruby's hand and places it on her stomach. "Feel that?" "Whoa! That's cool, hey baby! It's your auntie Ruby!" Malia laughs. "So, do you guys have everything? Diapers? Clothes? Bottles?" Malia nods. "Yes. I was planning on breastfeeding but then i remembered our crazy schedules so i might just do formula or maybe pump? Or both? I'm not sure yet." Ruby nods. "That seems logical. Mel was formula fed, I'm guessing you were breastfed?" Malia nods. "I think i was too, not sure about Kylie. But whatever you plan on doing, you just do you." She shrugs. "Thanks Ruby." "Ruby! Your burger!" Mel shouts. "Coming! I'll catch you later?" Malia nods. "Hey girly!" "Hey Rube!" Kylie walks past her as she offers Malia a plate. "You and the baby need to eat." She glances down at the plate. "Uh...." "It's a veggie burger." Kylie assures her. "Oh, thanks." Malia smiles and starts eating. "What about you?" "Mel's still cooking it. Anyways, you ready for the baby?" "Are you?"
Kylie nods. "I can't wait to meet her. I bet she'll look just like you." "With straight brown hair." "And chocolate brown eyes." "And fair skin." "With your cute hands." "No way, yours." Mel walks over with her plate. "Kylia, stop talking and eat." She sits at the table next to her wife and Ruby. "Sorry." "Sorry." Ruby raises her hand. "Seriously though, i call favorite auntie!" "I don't think you can-" "No way, that's me." Morgan sits next to her. "Excuse me?" "You heard me." "No, that would be me, her actual aunt!" Ivory sits down next to Malia. "Excuse you? Kylie and i are like sisters!" Ruby insists. "Like being the operative word." Josh comes over with a towel. "Just as long as I'm the favorite uncle." He smiles. "Bro, i will fight you for it." Peder smirks. "Oh yeah?" "Yeah." They get into, slowly inching towards the pool again. "Should we?" Malia asks. "Nah, let them." Christian shrugs. They both fall in as they all laugh. "Serves you boys right! Now come eat!"
At her next doctor's appointment, they both walk in and Malia does her usual. Blood pressure, urine sample, ultrasound. After everything was done, however, they weren't given the all clear to go home. "What do you think it is?" "I don't know." The doctor comes back in and sits. "So we did some tests and it seems your blood pressure was a bit high. It's nothing to worry about, but it does keep at this rate, you could end up with toxemia. Which is a blood pressure condition." Malia sighs. "Is it serious?" "It could result in a small baby, premature delivery, all of which you shouldn't worry about now. Just make sure you get plenty of rest, no stress, and no salt. The symptoms should revert back." Malia nods. "Thank you doctor." "Yes, thank you." Kylie squeezes her hand. "Ok, well, whenever you're ready , you're free to go." They both nod and head back to their house. "No stress and bed rest. Think you can do that?" Kylie asks. Malia nods. "Yeah, I'll do anything."
