Chapter 4 - Evie's Birthday

A few days later Evie woke up so excited, it was the day of her birthday. She rolled out of bed to see a blood stain on her sheets, "MOM," she called. Maria came in, seeing the blood-stained sheets, and knew immediately, "Evie I want you to take a shower, I will bring undies with a pad in them. Leave the pad on understood," "Yes Mom," Evie said, she showered and washed well, when she got out Maria, helped her put her underwear on, "I want you to wear a white tank top underneath your shirt today, then we'll go shopping for your stuff okay." Evie nodded, "Mom what's happening, why is there a blood stain on my sheets, why do I have to wear a pad?" Maria explained what was happening to Evie's body, "Wait, so I get to wear Bras now and shave," Maria smiled, "Yes you do." Evie yawned, Maria chuckled, "We'll take it easy today," Evie nodded. They then went to the store and Maria helped Evie pick out her razor, shaving cream, feminine products, and bras. At home, Evie put everything away and Maria had her change her pad, "Mom may I put a bra on now?" Maria chuckled and nodded, Evie put on a Bra, and changed her shirt to a cooler one. Downstairs she sat on the couch and closed her eyes, she ended up falling asleep and woke up around 2 hours later. She awoke to Nat, Wanda, and a blonde girl in her house, the blonde was sitting next to Nat. She went in and sat next to Maria, The Blonde saw her, "HI, I'm Yelena, but you can call me Lena," Evie smiled, "Evie Marie," Maria warned, "Hi I'm Evie Marie Hill." Lena smiled, and Nat asked, "Evie your mom told us you wanted to put your past behind you, would you like support?" "Yes please Nat," Evie replied, "We're so proud of you, we know it may have been a hard choice because of your past." Evie smiled, "Yeah, Miss Nat," "Please just Nat is fine," Evie nodded. "Nat guess what," Nat knew but joked, "Let me guess, someone just had her birthday yesterday." Evie laughed, "No not yesterday, today," Nat smiled, "I know honey I was joking, happy birthday." "Thank you," Evie said, Nat smiled as Maria brought breakfast. Then after breakfast, Evie went to brush her teeth and wash her face. Back downstairs she saw Maria, "Mom can I........" she stopped, without looking Maria said, "What is it Evie?" When she had no response, she looked up and was greeted by Evie having a panic attack, she immediately got up and went over to Evie. While hugging Evie she spoke soothingly to her, eventually Evie settled down and Maria went back to working on her project. A few hours later Maria was preparing dinner while Evie played, when it was ready she called, "Evie dinnertime." Evie ran downstairs and sat at the table as they ate dinner, they talked about what they wanted to do the next day. "I want to go over to the compound and see the team," Evie said, "I'll see what I can do, but if it does NOT work out then you need to promise you'll be calm," Maria responded. Evie nodded then went upstairs to brush her teeth and get ready for bed, as she was finishing Maria came in and tucked her in bed. The next morning, Maria woke Evie up and had her pack a bag with clothes, hair supplies, extra undies, and pads. They ate breakfast and then left for the compound, where there was a surprise waiting for Evie.
