Jay's POV

Their house was twenty times the size of their old house in Gary. Michael informed me that it had nine full rooms, but the boys still had to share a room. He was roomed up with Marlon and Randy, Jermaine and Tito shared a room, and Jackie got a room to himself.

"So what do you think?" Tito asked me. "Isn't she a beauty?"

"Yeah! This house is awesome!"

He rolled his eyes.

"Not the house! My car!" He exclaimed, pointing to a spotless, gleaming, bright red Porsche, parked at the end of the driveway.

My jaw dropped on the pavement.

"WOW! That's so cool! How in the world did you get it?!" I said running over to get a better look.

Tito smiled, proud as can be. "I got it for my birthday a couple of months ago- NO! Don't touch the windows! I just cleaned them yesterday!" he exclaimed, startling me so bad I fell back on the ground.

"Geez Tito! Take a chill pill!" I said.

"Sorry! I just don't want any fingerprints on it," Tito said, helping me off the ground.

"Yeah, he's real crazy over that car," Jermaine says, walking over, "He'll kill you if you just breathe on it."

"I can see that," I mumble.

"Shut up Jermaine. I'm trying to keep it nice!" Tito complained.

Tito turned to inspect the car and I glanced at Jermaine, wondering if he was upset.

He kicked a rock across the driveway.

"Jay while you're down here, I'll even take you for a ride! There's a couple of places I know you'd love to see," Tito smiled.

"Well, I did want to go to the beach..." I smiled as I imagined all three of us splashing in the ocean.

"Yeah! We should go there tomorrow!" Michael exclaimed, coming out of nowhere, "I'm sure Jermaine would loove to see you in a two-piece," he smirked.

"Michael!" Jermaine yelled, turning red with embarrassment. Tito chased Michael inside while Michael screamed with laughter.

I stood there unsure if I was surprised or flattered.

Jermaine looked at me, cheeks still burning. "Hey, we're good, right? I didn't mean to cause any trouble earlier."

I smile at him. "Yeah it's all good. It was kinda fun anyway."

He chuckles. "Oh, well, I'm glad to hear that because otherwise I wouldn't be able to demonstrate my driving skills," he smirked, jingling a set of car keys. "We can go joy-riding when I get back from dinner with Hazel."

"What? Um, I don't think that's a good idea."

"Oh come on! Don't be a party pooper!"

"You don't even have a license yet!"

"I have a permit," Jermaine smirked, matter-of-factly.

"How many times have you done this?"

"Maybe two or three times..."

"Uh uh, absolutely not. There's no way we won't get caught. Michael's always lurking around and if your thinking about driving Tito's car, he probably will kill you."

"He won't do a thing," he laughs, "Come on, Jay! We won't have any more time to ourselves! I mean I love my family just as much as you but I really wanna spend some time with my bestest friend ever," he says, poking his lips out.
