The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows across the training grounds as Mikasa made her way through the forest. The path was familiar, yet each step felt heavier than the last. She was tired of the emptiness, tired of feeling lost in her own despair. The absence of Y/n had hollowed her out, and she could no longer ignore the ache in her heart.

Despite her efforts to stay strong, she felt like a ghost haunting the remnants of their friendship, and she needed closure. No longer could she linger in the shadows of her feelings-she needed to confront Y/n, to face the truth of what had happened between them.

With determination, Mikasa forged ahead, her thoughts racing. She recalled the moments they had shared-the laughter, the battles fought side by side, the comfort of their companionship. But with each memory came the weight of his absence, and she fought back the tears threatening to spill over.

As she neared the secluded clearing where Y/n had been training, her heart pounded in her chest. Would he even want to see her? Did he even care? But she couldn't turn back now. She had come too far.

When she stepped into the clearing, she found Y/n in the midst of a grueling training session. He moved with a fluid grace, his blade slicing through the air with precision. He was a warrior transformed, the embodiment of strength and power, but there was an undeniable coldness that surrounded him-a wall he had built to keep the world at bay.

"Y/n," she called out, her voice firm yet trembling with uncertainty.

He stopped, turning to face her. The moment their eyes met, a flicker of recognition crossed his face, but it quickly faded into something more guarded. "Mikasa," he replied, his tone flat. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to talk," she said, stepping closer. "I need to understand why you left us. Why you chose to shut us out."

"Is that what you really want?" he asked, his voice laced with bitterness. "Or are you here to gloat, to remind me how I was cast aside?"

"What are you talking about?" Mikasa frowned, hurt flashing across her face. "We didn't throw you away, Y/n. We were worried about you."

He let out a humorless laugh, shaking his head. "Worried? You and Eren were too busy throwing me aside, pretending I never existed. I made my choice to become stronger, and all you two did was stand by and watch."

"Y/n, that's not true!" Mikasa stepped closer, frustration bubbling within her. "Eren and I wanted to help you! We care about you! But you pushed us away!"

"Care?" he scoffed, his eyes narrowing. "If you truly cared, you wouldn't have abandoned me. I was fighting for my strength, and all I got was silence. You chose Eren over me, and I can't blame you for that. You should just go back to him and forget about me entirely."

Mikasa felt the sting of his words like a physical blow. "You think I wanted this?" she asked, her voice shaking. "You think I chose Eren over you? I miss you, Y/n! You're my friend! I don't want to lose you."

His gaze hardened, and he took a step back, creating a physical distance that mirrored the emotional gulf between them. "I'm not your friend anymore, Mikasa. I'm stronger than I've ever been, and I don't need anyone. I chose to focus on my strength, not the weakness of relationships."

"Strength isn't just about physical power!" she exclaimed, her voice rising. "It's about the bonds we form, the people we fight for. You're pushing away the very people who want to stand by your side!"

Y/n's expression twisted into a mix of anger and sorrow. "I don't need anyone. You and Eren are better off without me. You should just go back to him-be with him. I won't get in your way anymore."
