{The Workers continue to forge, build, and hammer. Tyler comes out of Nico's office; dressed in the Worker' uniform. On his way down to the factory floor, he encounters the Bishops.}

Bishop 1
The deal is signed?

Tyler
Yes.

Bishop 3
About time.

Bishop 2
Get on the line!

Tyler
I did what I had to do.

Bishop 2
That's what they did too.

{Tyler approaches the Workers.}

Brendon
Now in Dematown there were a lot of souls

Workers
Low, keep your head, keep your head

Brendon
Working on the wall with all their might

Workers
Oh, you gotta keep your head

Brendon
You see, they kept their heads down low

Workers
If you wanna keep your head

Brendon
You couldn't quite see their faces right
But you could hear them singing:

Workers
Low, keep your head, keep your head

Brendon
Swinging their hammers in the cold, hard ground
You can hear the sound of the pickaxe ringin'

Workers
If you wanna keep your head

Brendon
And they called it—

Brendon & Workers
"Freedom"

Tyler
I'm Tyler Joseph.
Doesn't anybody hear me?

Bishop 1
They can hear,

Bishop 3
But they don't care.

Bishop 2
No one has a name down here.

Bishops
Mr. Nico set you free
To work yourself into the ground
Free to spend eternity

Bishop 1
In the factory

Bishop 3
And the warehouse

Bishops
Where the whistles scream

Bishop 2
And the foreman shouts

Bishop 1
And you're punchin' in

Bishop 3
And punchin' in

Bishop 2
And punchin' in

Bishops
And you can't punch out!

And you're way down Dematown

Workers
Oh, keep your head, keep your head low

Bishops
Way down Dematown

Workers
Oh, you gotta keep your head low

Bishops
Way down Dematown

Workers
If you wanna keep your head

Bishops
Way down under the ground!

Workers
Keep your head low

Tyler
Why won't anybody look at me?

Bishop 1
They can look,

Bishop 2
But they don't see.

Bishop 3
You see, it's easier that way.

Bishops
Your eyes will look like that someday.

Down in the river of oblivion

Bishop 1
You kissed your little life goodbye

Bishops
And Nico laid his hands on you

Bishop 3
And gave you everlasting life!

Bishops & Workers
And everlasting overtime

Bishop 3
In the mine

Bishop 1
In the mill

Bishop 2 & Workers
And the machinery

Bishops
Your place on the assembly line

Bishop 2
Replaces all your memories

Bishops
Way down Dematown

Workers
Oh, keep your head, keep your head low

Bishops
Way down Dematown

Workers
Oh, you gotta keep your head low

Bishops
Way down Dematown

Workers
If you wanna keep your head

Bishops
Way down under the ground!

Workers
Keep your head low

Tyler
What do you mean I'll look like that?

Bishop 1
That's what it looks like to forget.

Tyler
Forget what?

Bishop 3
Who you are,

Bishop 2
And everything that came before.

Tyler
I have to go.

Bishop 3
Go where?

Tyler
Go back!

Bishop 2
Oh?
And where is that?

Bishop 1
So what was your name again?

Bishop 3
You've already forgotten.

Brendon
You see, it's like I said before:
A lot can happen behind closed doors.
Tyler Joseph was a hungry young boy,
But he wasn't hungry anymore.
What he was instead, was dead.
Dead to the world, anyway.
You see, he went behind those doors,
And signed his life away.

Workers
Ah-ooh!

Bishop 1
Saw that wheel up in the sky

Bishop 2
Heard the big bell tolling

Workers
Ah-ooh!

Bishop 3
A lot of souls have gotta die

Bishops & Workers
To keep the Rust Belt rollin'

Workers
Ah-ooh!

Bishops
A lot of spirits gotta break

Bishops & Workers
To make the underground go 'round

Bishops
Way down Dematown

Bishops & Workers
Way down under the ground!
