Down underneath New York was the turtles' lair. The sun was going down, giving a lair a dull, harsh orange glow from the ceiling inside of the dojo. The turtles were busy training, the sounds of weapons clashing sounded from the dojo. Raphael had let out a loud yell, something about Leonardo cheating in their training, followed by a joke from Michelangelo. The lair was filled with its usual banter and excitement from the turtles, and it was peaceful. As peaceful as a home full of teenagers could be anyways.

At least that's how it feels. thought the mutant cat, who was lounging on one of the couch in the liar. She had been told there was beams she could lounge on instead by Raphael, but there was a few issues with that one. One of them, being a fact the mutant cat had dealt with since birth.

She, after all, was blind.

The mutant had been trying to sleep. It was all she really did, other than occasional getting dragged into the brothers' training. Master Splinter had thought it'd be useful to train her in ninjutsu. Apparently, there were training sessions that he taught his sons where they had to fight with a blindfold covering their eyes. Learning a skill in case something happened and they lost their sight. Honestly, she thought it was smart thing to teach, but she had no interest in learning. She was a cat after all, and she preferred to sleep and keep her distance. Only reason I'm here is I no longer have a home on the surface. She thought bitterly, her ear flicking. She didn't even know what the turtles looked like, or Splinter. Just that the latter was fluffy and the former was rough and scaly when she touched them.

She must've dozed off, because the next thing she knew, someone plopped down on the couch, causing her to jump up, opening her eyes in surprise as her pelt prickled.

"Sorry." was the only word that was spoken, harsh and gruff sounding. It wasn't hard to know which turtle it was. Raphael.

Letting out a sigh, she moved over, giving the turtle more room in the couch. Raphael seemed to gladly except it, his body relaxing more on the couch. With an annoyed tilt of her head, the mutant cat leaned her head on the armrest on the green couch. "So, what's got you so pissed off, Raphael?" the mutant cat asked, her blind gaze shifting in his directly.

"Training," was his response. Another singular word.

"Isn't that always the issue? Other than if its patrol? Did Leonardo kick your shell again?" she asked, her tone playful. However, Raphael clearly didn't like that, an annoyed growl escaping from the turtle. She could feel his anger radiating like a fire. It was quite amusing.

"Oh relax, I'm just teasing you." the mutant cat purred playfully at him, going and lightly flicking him on the arm after she leaned over. Sadly, Raphael didn't give her the response she had expected out of him.

"Your lucky you aren't as annoying as Lame-o-nardo is, Deer." the grumpy turtle mumbled. If Deer heard him, she simply acted like she didn't. Instead she went and stretched on the couch.

"So, Raphael. What's the mission for tonight?" Deer asked him curiously. She didn't get a reply. Instead, the turtle had moved and she heard him click a button and the TV came on after a sound of it turning on. Seems he's in a big sour mood. Deer thought, her whiskers twitching in amusement. "Well, if you won't answer, I'll bother one of the others." the mutant went and pulled herself up from the couch. Raphael didn't try and stop her. Instead he was watching whatever was on the news. One of those shows he pretended he hated if she had to guess. She never bothered to learn anything about them. Carefully, she made her way out of the living room area. As she took a step, Raphael's voice piped up.

"Steps."

Her foot lifted higher, and sure enough, there was a step. She mumbled her 'thanks' as she made her way up the couple steps. Once she was sure she had reached the top and would be on flat ground, Deer perked her ears up, following the sound of Mikey's happy chatter to the kitchen. As she walked in, her nose twitched at whatever Mikey was making, before she seemed to find whatever the smell was to be... well... disgusting.
