soooooosososososo sorry that I haven't written anything. in my defense.... I have no defense, other than controlling parents who leave me no free time. and to make matters worse.... I've been having ideas about starting ANOTHER book. help T^T

I ate my own meal and drank on coffee I magically summoned up.  I watched as the woman hurriedly scuttled away, back up to her room.

a few days later

I brushed crumbs from my mouth and sat up, only to sit back down at the bar. Despite my ass always hurting after an hour or two, the bar had becomes my go to place.

"Don't come anywhere near with me after what you drank from that sea spider" My head perked up. I wasn't really concerned with what was in that drink, only that it had pretty much been a painkiller for me. My head has completely stopped throbbing and a thick, crusty scab was made visible in my hair. I was half scared to take a shower and wash it off.

"Fine, bro. Be like that." I got up and sulked to my room. All it was was a damn drink. Sure, I wasn't that oblivous. it could easily be poisoned or some shit. But so far, it wasn't hurting me. Maybe I'll look into it later.Takai was there. It had been about ten days since I was trapped in the hotel, and I think that I've settled down okay.

"Hi, Takai!" Takai was my favorite person in the hotel so far. Arthur was great, but he was a grumpy asshole most of the time. On Takai's lap, there was a chess board. It looked tiny compared to her size. She took the frail pieces and put them in spots that I didn't know belonged to. I never found a reason to play. April certainly didn't know how to. She preferred card games. We would spend most Saturday nights just playing Skip-Bo or Phase Ten. We didn't even have a checker board.

"Is that chess?" I asked. Takai nodded.

"Do you know how to play?" Another nod.

"Teach me? I have nothing better to do."

"Okay." Takai had taught me a few moves. After a few hours of trying to beat her at it (she was probably going easy on purpose) we had went to bed. I was in such a deep sleep that I didn't even hear Kuchisake come in.

There was already a Martini waiting for me. I sipped on it and stuff. Kuchisake sat next to me and asked for... Orange juice?

"Hi" I said softly. She glanced up at me, before pulling a cookie out of her pocket. It was wrapped in a circle shaped napkin. Now where in the hell did she get that?

"Hello" She said curtly before taking a bite.

"Come on, you know I only got alcohol in stock" Arthur barked, but he still pulled a juicer and an unpeeled orange from under the table. There were probably shelves down there.

"Eh. I forgot to get it at the table cloth." So that's where she got the cookie. I wanted a cookie. I excused myself and tiptoed at the dining hall. It was only six forty-five in the morning, but as soon as the scent of Kuchisake's sugary treat hit my nose, I wanted a damn cookie. I hopped to the dining table.

"Table cloth, table cloth, uh... give me a sleeve of cookies." as promised, a long plastic box was filled with cookies. this is awesome. I bumbled away to my room. It's just about the only thing we can do here. I set the cookies on the nightstand and crawled under the covers. I picked up my book and flipped to the page I was on, and began to read it. I was about half way through the cookies when I heard the receptionist's voice ring through the halls.

"Residents of room seven, please make your way to the front entrance. Immediately. Thank you." I haven't heard that bitches voice in forever. What's up with her? I carried my book and cookies to the door. I set them down, slipped my shoes on (I haven't worn them all morning honestly)  and padded down the hall. Takai and Kuchisake were already waiting there for me. Along with the damn receptionist.

"And where have you been?" I was cold. I wanted to read in peace. But some shit always has to get stirred up. It seems that even with nothing to do here, something always happens.

"Follow me" The receptionist calmly marched out the door. None of us questioned it and we followed. Takai pointed at the cookies and I held them up to her. She took one and popped it into her mouth in one bite. Things returned to silence as we trekked outside and around the perameter of the hotel. The parking lot, which loyally held my car up front, quickly faded from view as undergrowth and trees fixated my vision. A mossy well was in the middle of no where, set to look like the ninteen hundreds made it. hell, it didn't even look sturdy.

"Whatever happened, blame it on the crickets, cause I didn't do it." Kuchisake smirked, but that was the only reaction that i got.

"So why are we at a well again? You're wasting my hour." Kuchisake had a point. It was in my hour too, although I didn't care about going out at this point. something just.... happened. being trapped here didn't seem to bother me, like a bird finding their cage to be all they need. And it was all I needed. I could have anything I wanted, right at my fingertips. Who was I to complain? Sure, I missed the kids. But it wouldn't be any worse than seeing them go on with another year in school. I watched as The receptionist went around the well until she was on the opposite side and looked at us.

"My name is Okiku. You, you three will find my tenth plate." Was all she said before she vanished with a blink. There was no smoke, nor was there a dramatic flash. She just disappeared, like flipping a page to a new drawing in the chapter. And before I knew it, I was gone too, not quite sure where I was going. And, before I knew it, shit had blacked out.
