The doctor continued feeding Luffy piece after piece of meat, and before long, an entire bowl was gone. She stared in shock, watching the food disappear faster than any healthy person could manage, let alone someone in a coma. Meanwhile, Luffy lay there, unmoving and seemingly oblivious, yet secretly savoring each morsel as it worked its way through his body, steadily healing his injuries and easing his pain.

Luffy wanted to tell the doctor to keep feeding him, but he couldn't move a muscle, leaving him stuck in frustrated silence. The doctor, however, paused thoughtfully and said, "Lord Luffy, if you can hear me, I'll come feed you at every meal." With that, she turned and left the room.

Luffy wanted to shout after her, "Wait! Keep feeding me! I'm feeling so much better already!" But he could only sigh inwardly as she disappeared from sight. He checked himself internally, realizing that his injuries felt significantly less painful. With enough meat, he felt he could completely recover, but for now, he was out of luck.

A short while later, Rayleigh entered, giving Luffy a few pinches on his arm and other spots to check his condition. "Strange," Rayleigh muttered. "The rubbery quality of his body is completely gone. Devil Fruit powers just don't disappear like that, especially with nothing happening to trigger it."

He scratched his head, trying to figure out what might've caused this. Then he shook his head, still baffled. "Shanks? It's Rayleigh," he called over the Den Den Mushi.

"Yes, Rayleigh?" Shanks's voice responded. "Has Luffy's power returned?"

Rayleigh sighed. "No, it's still gone. Right now, his body feels as if he never ate the Devil Fruit. I can't understand it—this sort of thing just doesn't happen." On the other end, Shanks was silent, but the frustration was clear. He finally sighed. "I've lived a long life, Rayleigh, but I've never come across anything like this. If Luffy's Fruit is truly gone, then..."

He trailed off, leaving the thought unfinished before hanging up. Rayleigh, left with no answers, glanced at the unconscious Luffy, feeling both helpless and unsettled.

Luffy, who had heard every word of the conversation, wanted to jump in but could only sigh. As he lay there, he sensed a small bird fluttering nearby. Despite not being able to open his eyes, he could feel life energy around him—Conqueror's Haki allowed him to sense his surroundings within a hundred-meter radius, almost more clearly than sight itself. Ever since his pain had eased, his Haki had grown stronger, letting him detect even faint emotions.

In the doctor's presence earlier, he had felt a sense of kindness and care. Now, he sensed a woman's presence sitting quietly outside, her energy calm and warm. "She must be the doctor who fed me," Luffy thought, grateful yet also disappointed he couldn't actually see her.

Then an idea struck him. "Wait, if I can sense the bird's presence...maybe I can see through its eyes?" Drawing on his Conqueror's Haki, Luffy reached out, linking his mind to the bird's consciousness. In an instant, his perspective shifted.

"Whoa..." His spirit had merged with the bird's, and now he could see through its eyes. Looking through its vision, he finally got a good look at the doctor sitting nearby.

"She's gorgeous..." he thought, awestruck.
