Pretending Not To Remember: A Second Chance

Pretending

After the war against Wei Ying, no one is expect that something is about to happen to them. Wei Ying is gone, Wen Qing is gone, and Wen Ning is gone, the three of them is the first people to got sent back to the past first.

That night Lan Xichen, Lan Zhan and Jiang Cheng doesn't realize it but when they go to sleep they will wake up in the past rather waking up in the future.

Past - Da Fan mountain

Wen Qing woke up with sweat running down her face, she look down at her hand then to her surroundings. 'What happen? Why am I still alive ?' Then she hear, "Jie Jie! Jie Jie!" She look at her bedroom doorway, "A-Ning!"

She got up to take her brother in her arm, the two soon pull back, "Jie, what happen? Why are we back...back to the past? I feel like myself but I still have my fierce corpse strength."

"I don't know A- Ning but we need to get out of here, if not then....our family will suffer just like in the future." 'I'm still worry about Wei Wuxian. What if something happen again? How can I help him?' Wen Qing thought to herself.

"But Jie, where will we go? How will we tell Wei gongzi what happen? Or if he remember us?" Wen Qing put her hand on her didi, "A-Ning, head to Yunmeng town first. Don't wear out clan clothes okay? Find a place for us to stay there. When you found a place come back to tell me okay?" Wen Ning nodded his head. With that Wen Ning left from there to go change and then head to Yunmeng town to find a place for him and his family to stay in.

Yunmeng- Jiang Clan

"Shixiong! Shixiong!" Jiang Cheng open his eye wide, 'Shixiong? Shouldn't they call me "Sect leader" instead?' Then Jiang Cheng hear a very familiar voice, "Is A-Cheng not waking up yet?" Asked a female voice.

"Shijie, I have been knocking for a while now and he not opening up," Jiang Cheng got out of his bed, rush toward the door and open up the door, "A-Jie?!" Shouted Jiang Cheng.

'I am going out of my mind! What is going on here?!' "A-Jie, are we back from studying in cloud Recesse?" He asked. "A-Cheng, we are heading to cloud Recesse tomorrow for our guest lecture. Are you alright?" Jiang Cheng nodded his head.

He went back into his room, close the door, and went to put on a new set of clothes. 'I wonder if Wei Wuxian also come back here as well. I need to go ask him about it.'

Wei Ying room

Wei Ying woke up when he felt a soft mattress underneath him. "Where am I?" He look around the place, he sat up, 'No way! I am back!' He touched his midsection, 'I can feel it, a core rotating inside of me.'

"Hey Wei Wuxian! Are you awake?! I need to talk to you it is very important!" Shouted the person in front of his room. 'Jiang Cheng?' He got up to go open the door. "Why the loud noise Jiang Cheng?" Asked Wei Ying.

Jiang Cheng push Wei Ying back inside, he closed the door behind him, "what I am about to tell you will shock you? Don't laugh okay?"

"I won't so what is it?" Asked We Ying.

"I seem to travel from the future into the past. I don't know how or why this is happening." Jiang Cheng walk back and forth in front of Wei Ying. 'So this Jiang Cheng is from the future. I can't let Jiang Cheng know that I am also from the future. I need to pretend that I am this time line Wei Wuxian.'

Jiang Cheng stop, he went in front of Wei Ying, "Wei Wuxian, are you also...." Wei Ying shake his head no, "Jiang Cheng, I am from this time line, not from the future. Then a lot of thing has happen to you then."

Gusu - Lan Clan

Lan Xichen room

Lan Xichen wake up with a jolt, he look around his room then down at his hand, 'I get the feeling like something happen.'

"Zewu Jun, sorry to wake you up but Master Lan want you to be at the gift giving tomorrow from the guest students."

'Gift giving? Guest students? Don't tell me!? I am in the past! Then that mean!' Lan Xichen got up, change into new set of clothes, then he went to one place, a place where his father is in seclusion.

'I need to get him out of there, if not he will dead for sure.'

Lan Zhan room

"Wei Ying!" Lan Zhan opened his eye, when he covered his eye with his hand this got him to sit up. He touched his body, then his face, 'wait, what is going on here?' "Why am I back in my 16 years old body? Something is right about this."

Lan Zhan also got up, change into his clothes and left the room. On his out one thing went through his mind, 'I wonder if Wei Ying is also here. Not the Wei Ying of this time line but the one from the future.'

Jiang clan

When Jiang Cheng is gone from Wei Ying room, he is now seating on his bed with his knee to his chest, 'if Jiang Cheng is here, does that mean Lan Zhan is also here as well? If he is or I am not sure,I also want to pretend that I am Wei Wuxian of this time line not of the future. I can't stand the look on his face when I take my hand away from him,' he put his forehead on his arm.

"I'm sorry Lan Zhan, I need you to stay away. Please stay away," 'seeing you again is all I needed, I won't mess with you nor tease you again. I can't let you go through the pain of seeing me going through that path once more. No matter what happen, I can do all of this in secret. I can't let anyone know about it.' "Lan Zhan."

On the next day Jiang Cheng, Jiang Yanli, Wei Ying and their disciple head to the Lan clan for their guest lecture. Since Jiang Cheng know what happen, he decide to keep the invitation safe inside of him.

They all decided to head up to Cloud Recesse instead of staying in the inn. 'I guess he made the right decision. Wouldn't want Shijie to see that peacock who won't stop hurting her.' Walking up the step cause Wei Ying to think about if he meet Lan Zhan or not.

That night Lan Zhan waited to see if he will see Wei Ying doing the same thing or not. Lan Zhan doesn't know it but right now, Wei Ying is inside of his guest dorm room sitting in the corner with his knee to his chest.

'I didn't expect to come back to the past with the resentment energy still inside of me? What should I do? Is hard to control it if...if I don't have what I want next to me?' "Lan Zhan, come save me."
