The Harrow House

The Harrow House is a large building in the woods that almost never sees the sun. It is not advised to approach or spend too much time in view of the house.

The surrounding woodland is often quieter. Poorly constructed toys appear in the area on occasion, as well as cuttings of hair, used bandages, and discarded camping gear.

It's best to ignore this place. It thrives on desperacy, and has a strong link to missing hikers in the area.

The full body is never found, but the mutated loved ones have never come back in pieces.

Many residents have been released after coming to a significant change within themselves. The concept of being "cured" is entirely separate from anything the creature's family could have been promised, and the creature rarely ever comes back at all.

It is a rule to never release someone who doesn't feel good about themselves, so every monster in the woods is positively beaming with confidence.

The Harrow House has come to an agreement with the gas station by the road out of town. The result of a decades-long feud between the management and the owner of the house, Mrs Hive.

It was all she could do to save them any more trouble. Before the abandonment, she'd agreed to pay for any damages her temporary residents may cause - as well as enough money to keep the witnesses quiet and happy.

After Shawn took charge, he kept sending the money back under the assumption it was a mistake. After close supervision, he was deemed a non-threat who rarely realised anything was wrong.

Regardless of Mrs Hive's rules, the tradition of the residents sneaking out has been passed down through the generations of inhumans in her care. Whether it be to eat small animals, sneak cheap candy, or generally goof around in the woods.

Some of the long-term residents even claim to have befriended Shawn. He's a chill guy who won't judge as long as you pay for the snacks and don't walk mud all over the floors.

Sneaking off to the gas station is part of the healing process - according to the older teens in charge of the other teens' well-being. A "therapeutic" disobedience that resembles a classic teenage experience nobody at the Harrow House will get to do.

Just don't get caught by Micheal.
