The Lost Prince

Chapter 19

9/9 update...

Hoseok cleared his throat when he saw the two kissing each other outside their apartment.

Jin and Jungkook immediately pulled away from each other and both blushed knowing they were caught.

"It's a nice morning!" Hoseok said. "Oh! Good morning, hyung! Good morning, Jin! I did not notice the two of you!" He said, teasing them.

"Hi, Hoseok! I need to rest at home." Jin said as he rushed to climb the stairs.

"Oh! Let me accompany you." Jungkook said and followed Jin towards his apartment.

The two rushed towards the apartment and Hoseok giggled seeing them blushing and finally being able to see them be comfortable with each other.

King Seokjung was pacing back and forth while one of the guards kneeled while giving him the latest update about his son.

"It's been weeks! When will you be able to find him?!" He shouted around the room.

"My King, all the guards did not find any trace of him around the palace's borders. We would like to get your approval to move outside the palace's property and start searching for the prince in the whole kingdom." The guard said.

"Any news from Prince Taehyung?" Seokjung asked.

"We got an update from Min Yoongi that they are still in Gangwon-do. They haven't found him yet as well, nor any trace of him. We are constantly in touch with them." The guard answered.

The king felt weak and dropped on his throne. He massaged his temples as he tried to absorb all the news about his son still unfound. He should have done better in taking care of him rather than giving all his attentions to the kingdom's need. He said sorry to his late wife multiple times for failing her and losing Seokjin. He just hopes that the prince will be safe wherever he is.

"My son..." he whispered as a tear fell from his eyes.

"It's very sunny today." Taehyung said when he found Hoseok at the garden.

"Oh! Tae-ssi. Please join me." Hoseok said as he made space for Taehyung in the usual spot.

Taehyung sat comfortably beside Hoseok.

"Here. I brought you something that my Eomma made." Hoseok said giving some to Taehyung.

"T-Thank you." Taehyung said. Surprised that Hoseok prepared something for him. He looked at the food instead of eating it and Hoseok noticed it.

"The food is meant to be eaten. Don't you like it?" He asked Taehyung.

Taehyung's eyes widened. "N-no! I mean I like it." He said the opened it.

"I told my eomma that I have a new friend at work and she offered to make another sandwich for that friend." Hoseok said with a smile, which made Taehyung smile, too.

"You and your mom are kind."

"My whole family is kind." Hoseok said as he put down his sandwich. "We are not rich but me and my hyung were brought up in a loving environment. My hyung is also kind. He looks grumpy and strong but he is very kind and has a soft heart, which he tries to hide with his strong personality."

Taehyung just looked at him as he described his family. He never had a story to tell like this. The only brother-like he ever had was Seokjin and losing him right now feels like losing the only family he ever had.

Taehyung took a bite of the sandwich and Hoseok's eyes widened when he saw a tear fall from Taehyung's eyes.

"Omo! Are you okay, Tae-ssi?" He asked in surprise.
