Walls whisper secrets I’ve tried to forget,
Each corner a memory, dark and upset.
The rooms are a maze, silent and grim,
Shadows of moments sink deep within.Doors locked in silence, though they’re open wide,
Yet I’m bound to these walls, nowhere to hide.
Familiar rooms, yet foreign and strange,
Each step I take only deepens the cage.Windows show light but let none inside,
Trapping dreams in the beams, worn and dried.
I wander alone, but the hallways won’t end,
A loop of my past that bends, bends, and bends.I leave and return, again and again,
Yet I’m tied to this place by invisible chains.
For it’s not brick and mortar keeping me here—
It’s the echoing mind that won't disappear.
