The two approached the small store, Seven walked beside Azrael. Sev grumbled as he heard some cat calls directed toward Azrael. He glanced at Az noticing that he'd seemed numb to it. They walked into the store and he watched Azrael walk to the clothing section, reaching for a large Dark purple hoodie. As the two checkout Sev pulled the tag off, handing the sweater back watching as the raven haired boy pulled it on.
Seven watched as the boy relaxed now much warmer. The hoodie covered more, now reaching past his thighs. Sev smiled, noticing the other's comfort. The walk home was now a comforting silence. As the manor came into view Sevar watched Azrael run towards it. Seven followed as they opened the door a burst of warmth came from inside. A strong contrast to the chilly night outside.
Seven watched as Azrael left. A door slammed and the shower was running. He sat on the couch, his body slumped. "I can't believe I almost hurt him..." he muttered rubbing his head. He heard the door. Prince stood there. "Did the mission go well?" Prince sat beside Sev tiredly. Seven hesitated, it wouldn't be smart to admit he almost hurt Azrael. They already knew what happened. They knew he was an experiment, they knew he was a weapon. To admit he tried to hurt one of his teammates is a death sentence.
"It went well, close call with the target, a lost hoodie, but otherwise all good. How'd your mission go?" Sev watched Prince's expression to try and brace for any unwanted confrontation.
The room went silent as Prince walked over. With narrowed eyes he grabbed an envelope. "I hope you're not lying." The words dripped with a cold tone as the dark haired man left. Sev sighed, getting up to go to bed. He walked into the room, Azrael sat on the bed laying on his stomach, playing with his cat. He walked over sitting beside Az, watching Ghost jump for the mouse toy dangling above.
"I'm sorry I hurt you..." Sev blurted out. The boy looked up from the cat. "Hey, no worries, it happens. It's normal to get caught up in the violence. I'm happy you stopped though. I appreciate that you have some control." The boy's words of reassurance didn't fully settle Sev's guilt, but it helped a bit. "Promise?" Sev asked laying beside the boy, joining him in laying on his stomach. Azrael said nothing as he handed the blonde a cat toy.
Sev took it without much hesitation playing with Ghost as Azrael lay lazily beside him. "Do me a favor, quit being so worried. We're all fucked up in one way or another. So what if you're aggressive? Just work on getting better control." Azrael smiled. "I'd hate to see you leave, you know." Those words made Sevar Pause. The cat toy dropped from his hand. Someone wanted him to stay? Really?
Azrael snorted beside him. "Surprised?" Sev looked at Azrael, shocked. He was met with the other lazily looking at him with the warm Silver eyes and a light smile on their face. He felt a smile slip onto his face in response. "I'm a lot to handle." Sev joked to the other. "As if the rest of us aren't?" Azrael retorted, smacking Sev with a pillow softly.
The impact made Sev snort. He didn't know what this new life would cause him, but he didn't care as long as this warmth was part of it. Sevar grabs the pillow from the boy whacking him with it. Azrael bounced onto the mattress after the impact. He laughed. That sound made Sev melt. The warmth and joy in that silly little sound. Sev smiled. "I like that smile on you." Azrael paused hearing that. He sat up confused.
"Huh?" Azrael tilted his head. Sev smiled. "Your smile. I like it, it makes me feel better." That made Azrael smile. "I thought you were talking about something else." Sev rolled his eyes at that, not bothering to ask. The room was filled with warmth and peace, Sevar wasn't ready to lose it. He watched Azrael for a moment longer before Ghost, who the two had been playing with interrupted them with a purr.
His eyes drifted to the furry creature and then back to the boy who now held it in his arms. Sev smiled before laying beside Azrael. His head beside the boy's lap. Azrael petted the cat silently before his hand drifted to Sevar's hair. The man flinched and Azrael pulled his hand away. "Sorry. I didn't mean to-" Sev cut Azrael off. "It's okay, go ahead, It just took me by surprise."
Azrael hesitated but soon let himself return to running his hand through the other's hair. Sev relaxed at the touch before pausing. "I thought you hated touch?" Azrael paused. "I do...but I should learn to tolerate it, I can't get through life easily unless I get used to it." His words made Sevar think of something. "So I get free relaxation while it also helps you? I'm in." Azrael snorted at this, his hand running through Sev's hair.
"You're like a dog." Azrael snickered. "Craving affection constantly. It's nice in a way." Sev silently enjoyed the peace laying beside Azrael. His eyes drifted to the clock on the nightstand. It was 11:46. That explained the exhaustion. Ghost purred as Azrael began to lay down beside Sev, removing his hand from Sev's hair and getting comfortable. The cat found a spot between them and curled up as the warm blanket was pulled over the two.
Sev let his eyes close, his body relaxed as he fell into sleep.
