✿ Chapter 28 : Cheater ✿

As Shehnaaz's pregnancy progressed, her belly began to show, and with it came the infamous mood swings and cravings that kept everyone in the family on their toes. The Shukla household had never been this lively or chaotic.

Sidharth had become a devoted and attentive husband, ensuring that Shehnaaz had everything she needed, no matter the time or place. He'd even gone as far as downloading apps, reading books, and watching videos on pregnancy to understand each phase and be prepared. But, of course, no amount of reading could have prepared him for Shehnaaz's unpredictable cravings and mood swings.

One evening, Sidharth walked into the living room to find Shehnaaz lying on the couch, looking utterly miserable. Her pout could melt anyone's heart, and Sidharth instantly knew something was up. He walked over, kneeling beside her.

"Kya hua, meri jaan?" he asked, brushing her hair back gently.

She looked at him with those big, expressive eyes, half-angry, half-teary. "Mujhe golgappe chahiye… abhi!"

Sidharth glanced at his watch. It was nearly midnight, and most shops would be closed. But he knew better than to argue "Bas do minute, main abhi laata hoon" he said, grabbing his car keys without a second thought.

Ashok ji happened to pass by just as Sidharth was about to leave. "Itni raat ko kaha ja rahe ho, beta?" he asked, a bit confused.

Sidharth gave him a sheepish grin. "Dad, Shehnaaz ko golgappe khane ka mann ho raha hai."

Ashok chuckled, patting his son's shoulder "Arey, is ghar mein ek aur golgappa lover aa raha hai! Main samajh sakta hoon. Jaldi jao, aur hamare chhote se mehmaan ke liye golgappe le aao"

When Sidharth returned with a bag full of golgappas and various chutneys, he found Shehnaaz curled up on the couch, her face lighting up the moment she saw him.

"Yeh lo, tumhare golgappe," he said, setting everything down with a grin.

Shehnaaz's face transformed into a huge smile, and she immediately dug in, savoring each bite. "Sidharth, aap ho toh sab kuch easy lagta hai," she said, her mouth full but her tone full of love.

"Only i know this" he murmured under his breath as only he know how much he request the vendor to open his shop. He even give him extra money.

Shehnaaz was enjoying everyone attention towards her.

"Ye lo dudh piyo aur pura khatam hona chahiye" Rita maa said sternly as she know her Bahu's Tantrums.

"Maa" Shehnaaz make a puppy face to avoid this disgusting milk.

"Main kitchen me ja rahi hu aau to pura finish hona chahiye" she said and left from there when two monkeys jump beside her.

"Bhabhi pi lo abhi i promise main aapki favorite chocolate laakar dunga" Rudra said to her making her smile.

"Aur main aapke saath beth kar Shinchan movies dekhungi" Ashnoor said.

"Pakka na?" She asked both of them. They nodded. "Phir theek hai" she close her nose and drink the whole glass in one go.

Rita maa and Vidya ji chuckle from distance.

"Kese baccho jese dhyan rakhte hai sab Shehnaaz ka" Vidya ji asked.

"Rakhenge hi ghar ka pehla baccha aa raha" Rita maa said with a warm smile untill she hear another two monkeys voice. She huffed and went inside kitchen to save herself.

"Maine kaha na blue balloons lagenge" Meeti shout on Kushal. Meeti start living with them as per Sidharth's request because he know how much Meeti meant to Shehnaaz.
