We arrive at the tribe after a long walk, where Cheng was carrying me on his back, piggy style. I don't know how we didn't think of this beforehand. I guess that Cheng did, but he just chose not to tell me.

There was a large crowd waiting for our arrival. They wanted to make sure that what we did was complete, not just leaving his scent. But having his spousal mark on me. I have no issue; there is not a bone of regret in my body. I am proud of what I have done.

In my world, there would be a chance for him to break my heart, cheat on me, or even abandon me just because I showed the slightest bit of interest for him. But here, we rely on each other; what we have done is permanent, and there is no one that can take it back. Well, just me...It's comforting to know that right now a pregnancy would be celebrated. I do not wish for me what my friends have gone through.

It wasn't much of a surprise though; he didn't seem interested from the beginning. I wonder about what he said previously; could this be the female that offered her skin for a spousal mark? I look at him and give him a sign to ask him the question. "Yes, she is the one I talked about," he says with sorry in his voice.

"Oh! I can see why." I laugh. "I never wanted anything to do with you; you are just a spoiled brat. Just because you were the only female born in five years does not make your behavior excusable." He moves his head to speak to the girl.

"Excuse me? My behavior? What about hers? She spent the whole day playing good girl, just for you to believe it and fall into her arms." She scoffs.

"Bowing her head where she is supposed to stand tall and proud. Waiting for everyone at the table patiently instead of commanding. She even befriended the dumb little boy that has no use."

"All of those sound like good manners to me... Not a single wrongdoing there." He chuckles at her bravery; how could she say that?"Wow! You truly believed her facade."

"First, when in Rome, do as the Romans. Secondly, in my house, we waited until everyone was seated. It was a pleasure; it means that everyone is there.""Ugh! Let me show you, rascal, a bit of your own medicine!!" She grabbed the straps of my top and pulled. Exposing my breasts.

I turn around quickly and face Cheng, who hugs me immediately, covering me.

"You stepped over the line!" Says Bo, who appears from the multitude, and grabs her arm. He gives her a look, scolding her. "Stop this nonsense!"

"Fine, I'll leave her alone, but she is the one who started it, not me."

"And I'm going to be the one that puts an end to it." Says Cheng while lifting his arm, as to smack her in the face.

He looks at Cheng and says, "Take her away, to her tent." He says it in a demanding tone. He is trying to protect me and her. He is trying to intervene and calm the situation down. What a surprise, to be honest. I did not expect for him to act like that. But I'm happy that it happened. I give a look at Cheng, raising my gaze from inside his protection. "Let's just go," I say, wimpering at him.
