Chapter 9 - Falling harder

Rina and Rosie were in her father's old room, sitting on the bed together. Rosie had turned on the pink neon lights and the fairy lights she had hanging around the room.
"So..."
"Hold on, I'm gonna quickly send this video to my phone..." Rina muttered as she was pressing the camera. "Seeing as you seem to be so down bad for Alex, I'm sure this is gonna make you pleased...Along with like 2000 other girls...Anyways..."
"Come on, I don't like him that much. Romantically at least."
She then got out her phone and pressed on the video.
"Alright. Look at this. Since you were busy sulking, I recorded it all."
"I know you did. You were smiling like you just murdered someone and got away with it."
"Oh come on, I don't smile like that. Anyways, look." she said, facing the phone to Rosie.

Rosie observed the video. When the two of them began to kiss, she expressed a look of disgust as she looked away. She watched as Alex suddenly pushed her away, talking about how he didn't like her romantically but in another type of way. 
She moved the phone back to Rina. "I've seen enough." She said,
"Huh? Are you not happy? You like him don't you?" Rina replied.
"I guess...But...I don't know. I don't intend to be in a romantic relationship with him. These are just temporary feelings anyways. It goes away eventually. Especially after seeing this video..." She made a sad expression. "I didn't think he was that type of person...To go after someone for their looks. Well I'm not too surprised. He's a really kind and caring person. He probably just likes pretty girls, that's all."
Rina gave her a sceptical look. "Oh, you totally missed the point. Anyways, I wouldn't say he's the kindest person in the world. But let's forget about him and talk about Leonie, a.k.a Hanna 2.0..."
"I don't even know who she is. I'm not really interested in gossiping about people I don't know about." She muttered.
"Well that's too bad. I've got some crazy stuff on her, so just hear me out."
Rosie nodded.

"Alright so Leonie, she's kind of like a worse version of Hanna. I think I've already mentioned that before, but it's true. She backchats about literally EVERYONE! Even her own friend group. The same friend group she shares with Alex."
"Even Alex?"
"Ok, not Alex. But she also has a bad history of bullying. A really, really bad history...She used to go to the same orphanage as me."
Rosie gasped in shock. "Really?"
"Yeah. And there was this girl right? She wasn't really liked by the others very much. And well, she was a victim of almost everyone in the orphanage. I didn't really care about her though cause she's not in the same room as her. Anyways, it was horrible. First of all, apparently she was a bit mentally unstable. Heard she had a bad case of insomnia. The girls all made fun of her for that. She...Was kind of like you. Pale, skinny and had abnormally large eyes. But anyways, they would beat her up and stuff. It was horrible. They would force her to touch the hot cookers with her arm and dip her head in the toilets sometimes."
Rosie gasped, "What!? That's horrible! How could someone do something like that!? H-How old were they at the time."
"Nine..."
"And, was Leonie behind all of it?"
"Oh yeah. Leonie HATED her. She was the one that tortured her the most. Humiliated her in front of boys, forcefully tickled her. Beat her up with a bat...It was terrible. That bat accident was terrifying actually...Even I couldn't watch..."
"The bat accident?"
"We were all playing baseball...The girl was getting made fun of again, and forced to do things...Except this time...She stood up for herself. Let's just say...It DID NOT end well for her..."
Rosie gave Rina a fearful look. "W-what happened to her? I-Is she still alive?"
"I suppose..."

She looked Rosie straight in the eye.

It took her a moment for her to realise what she was hinting towards...

Until she finally realised and let out a heavy gasp.

"R-Rina..."

Suddenly, Rina's expression completely changed. "Why are you acting like that? I never told you that girl was me! Damn, my acting skills must be amazing!"
"Rina! Be serious! Was that girl really you!?" Rosie asked, touching her face.
She nodded.
"No, of course not. But the girl did commission me to find dirt on her. Many girls actually."
"I swear if you're lying..."
"Don't worry! Anyways, I'm gonna publish this."
Rosie looked down. "Could you perhaps...Leave Alex alone for this post? Please? For me? Considering how this Leonie is, she probably won't let go of this easily without getting her revenge. So he's already going to end up running into trouble anyways."
Rina put her finger on her chin, thinking. "Ugh, alright fine. But I can't really do much, since people will already recognize his voice and everyone knows there's been romantic tension between the two of them. Anyone will be able to guess it's Alex. But I'm gonna write an article about Leonie. People will believe it anyway since there's already evidence, and my commissioners also sent me some evidence of her."
"Thank you."
"Anyways, let's forget about all this for now and have some fun!"
