"BABE, WAKE UP," Brian yelled, shaking me abruptly.
"What? What's wrong," I said, wiping my eyes, confused.
"Look at this," he said, showing me his phone.
"Fire at Crestville High School," I read, "WHAT!"
"It doesn't make sense," Brian said.
"I'm still going down there, maybe there's still some information we could get. I mean we don't know how bad the fire was," I said, getting out of bed.
"I'll meet you out front with the car," Brian said.
I quickly hopped up and grabbed an all black hoodie, gray leggings and slid my feet in a pair of my rainbow crocs. I didn't even stop to brush my teeth, wash my face, do my hair or anything. I was on a mission and it was showing by the way I was looking as I darted out the door.
As soon as I got into the car, I called Mila. I told her to meet us at the school and she said she was on her way immediately. My heart was beating outside of my chest. How could this happen? I was just about to come up with a lead of my own. Now this?
