Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger

Part 6

At Stonehenge, the Operation Overdrive Rangers fight valiantly to stop Kamdor and Mig from finding the remaining jewels. However, without their Ranger powers, they struggle, unable to match the might of their foes. Just as Kamdor and Mig prepare to deliver a final blow, help arrives in the form of the Retro Rangers.

Xander appears first, catching Kamdor off guard. With a quick strike from his Magi Staff, he traps Mig within the thick branches of nearby trees. Kamdor, noticing Xander, demands, "Who are you?" Xander replies with a sly grin, "Surprise." Before Kamdor can respond, Tiara enters, firing her Bird Blaster and Beak Smasher. Kamdor is forced back, hitting the ground. "Get ready to be destroyed," Tiara taunts.

Mig struggles free from the branches, only for Kira to strike him with her Ptera Grips, knocking him down. "It's great to be back," Kira says with a smile. Then Tori appears, moving in with ninja-like speed. She lands multiple blows with her Ninja Sword, causing Kamdor to stagger. She grins, "Let the games begin!" Finally, Adam charges forward, wielding his Power Axe, landing a powerful strike that sends both Kamdor and Mig sprawling.

The Operation Overdrive Rangers, surprised and awed, watch their unexpected saviors. Adam steps forward, saying, "Looks like you could use a little help." The other Retro Rangers fall into line behind him, instinctively acknowledging Adam as their leader, given his seniority. Adam, however, considers that Tiara, the Red Ranger, should lead and resolves to discuss it with the others once the battle is over.

As the Overdrive Rangers regroup, Ronny whispers, "Who are they?" Dax shrugs, "I don't know, but I like the suits." Rose nods, recognizing them. "They're Power Rangers."

The Retro Rangers stand protectively in front of the Overdrive Rangers, forming a line. Kamdor, shaken, mutters to Mig, "Thrax didn't tell us there would be more Rangers." Mig, frustrated, adds, "Maybe he's not such a great leader after all." Realizing they're outmatched, Kamdor and Mig retreat.

With the threat gone, the Retro Rangers power down, revealing their civilian forms, and walk toward the Overdrive Rangers, Adam leading. Mack steps forward, saying, "Thanks, whoever you are." Adam replies, "We're glad to help."

Dax looks around, confused. "Is anyone else confused here?"

Just then, the Sentinel Knight appears. "I'll answer your questions," he says. Tori interjects, "But maybe this isn't the best place." Tiara nods, "Do you have a headquarters or something?" Ronny grins, "Oh yeah. Wait till you see it. It's state of the art." Xander chuckles, "Better than a hollow tree, I hope." Ronny gestures, "Come on, I'll show you."

The scene shifts to the Overdrive Rangers' high-tech headquarters. Xander looks around, impressed. "This is way better than a hollow tree. This'll do." The Retro Rangers line up in front of the Overdrive Rangers. Will, curious, asks, "So... you've all been Rangers before?" Kira nods. "Yep," she confirms, and the others nod in agreement.

Andrew Hartford steps forward. "In any case, welcome. We're glad to have you here." Sentinel Knight reappears and says, "I have called upon these former Rangers in this time of crisis. I was able to channel some of my remaining energy to restore their powers." Adam nods, "We're happy to help. Once a Ranger..." The others echo, "Always a Ranger." Andrew smiles, reassured by their presence.

Sentinel Knight continues, "As the guardian of the jewels, it is my duty to ensure their protection. That's why I have chosen Adam, Xander, Tiara, Tori, and Kira to replace you as the new team of Power Rangers." With that, the Sentinel Knight vanishes.

An awkward silence follows, with the Retro Rangers standing before the now-disenfranchised Operation Overdrive Rangers. The Overdrive team, feeling a mix of shock and sadness, is at a loss. Sensing the tension, Kira steps forward, trying to ease the atmosphere. "Well... we should get familiar with everything." Xander nods in agreement. "Where should we start?"

Andrew steps forward. "I'll show you everything." He leads the Retro Rangers around the headquarters, explaining their progress so far in the quest for the jewels, while the Operation Overdrive Rangers retire to the house, still processing the unexpected shift in roles and responsibility.
