Two days had passed...

The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows across the worn training ground. The air was cool but charged with anticipation. Seijuro stood opposite Satoru, their eyes locked as they prepared for the sparring session. Over the past two days, Satoru had been showing remarkable improvement, but today, Seijuro had decided to test him in a new way.

Earlier that morning, Seijuro had given Satoru specific instructions. "Weaken your Infinity," he had said calmly. "You can't always rely on it. You need to learn to fight without it, especially in close combat."

Satoru had blinked in confusion at first. Infinity was his shield, the ultimate defense that created an infinite space between him and anything that came near. No one could touch him while it was active. It worked by slowing down anything approaching him to an infinitely slow speed, essentially creating an impenetrable barrier. So, naturally, Satoru was confused by the request. No one could bypass his Infinity—at least, that's what he had been led to believe.

But Seijuro had asked nicely. He wasn't commanding him, nor criticizing him. He simply wanted Satoru to broaden his abilities. And because of that, Satoru agreed, trusting his father's judgment.

Seijuro had also advised him to use cursed energy to augment his physical abilities during close combat. The suggestion had made sense to Satoru. Cursed energy wasn't just for casting techniques; it could also be channeled into the body to enhance speed, strength, and reflexes. It was crucial for sorcerers, especially in hand-to-hand combat.

Now, they stood on the training grounds, ready to put everything into practice. Seijuro clapped his hands once, signaling the beginning of the spar.

Satoru immediately dropped into a stance, his eyes sharp as he analyzed his father's every move with the aid of his Six Eyes. He was slightly perplexed, though—Seijuro wasn't emitting any energy. There was no cursed energy signature, nor was there any trace of the strange, unknown energy that he had felt two days ago when his father had released that powerful aura. But that didn't bother him too much. After all, it was his father—the man who had taught him everything he knew.

They circled each other slowly, the tension building. Suddenly, Seijuro lunged forward with surprising speed, his movements fluid and sharp. Satoru reacted quickly, using a burst of cursed energy to enhance his speed, sidestepping the attack with ease. His father wasn't using cursed energy or Infinity, but his natural reflexes were shockingly fast.

Satoru's eyes narrowed. He could see his father's movements, yet there was something different about the way he fought now. It felt... instinctive. Even without cursed energy, Seijuro was moving with incredible precision, almost as though he had been trained in combat for a lifetime.

Seijuro followed up with a low strike, and Satoru barely had time to block. The force of the impact sent a small tremor through his arms, making him realize just how physically strong his father was. But Satoru wasn't about to back down. He countered with a sharp kick aimed at Seijuro's midsection, channeling cursed energy into his legs for added power.

Seijuro anticipated the attack and sidestepped, but Satoru was quick. He twisted his body, using the momentum of his missed kick to follow through with a low sweep aimed at Seijuro's legs.

Seijuro's foot slipped slightly, his balance momentarily faltering. Satoru's eyes lit up in excitement. He had managed to catch his father off guard! A small grin crept onto his face.

But before Satoru could press his advantage, Seijuro quickly regained his footing, his body flowing into a smooth recovery. In an instant, he was back on balance, and Satoru's grin faded, replaced by surprise.
