A day spent with Prongs

Saturday morning, I dressed for my date with Prongs in what I picked out with my girls. He said go for comfort, but I still wanted to look cute. I chose a pair of my medium wash bell bottoms with a cute zipper detail and paired it with a crochet sweater that was a zigzag of rainbow color.

I fluffed my hair before tying a ribbon around to keep my hair out of my face. I tied it in a cute bow on top but off to the side a bit. My ribbon was yellow for my house pride. But also because yellow was a color that would pop in my dark hair. I kept my makeup light but did play up my eyes. I knew my boy was into eyes.

Finally, I headed down to my common room where the Diggory was waiting.

"You sure seem to dig the lions. Black and then the Prewett twins. Now Potter? Don't let another lion hurt your heart. I'll pluck the lion of every hair if they do." Diggory warned.

"Aw, i didn't know you cared, Diggory. Don't worry. My wolf can handle a lion." I teased gently.

Luna let out a growl to prove she could handle it.

"I care about all my badgers. Anyway I've my own date with a lioness later." Diggory said.

"Good luck on your date." I said before leaving.

"You look beautiful. I think every color found in a field of wild flowers is in your sweater." James said.

"Thank you. Although I admit I thought it was my eyes that captured you." I mused.

"Trust me, my dear wild flower. Your eyes have imprisoned me." James said dramatically.

He led me to the kitchen and tickled the pear. The portrait swung open, and he pulled me in.

"Master Potter. We have the breakfast you requested, Potter, sir!" Blinky squeaked.

James helped me sit before sitting next to me.

"Breakfast for just us before we head to Hogsmeade." James said with a dazzling smile.

As we ate, we began getting to know each other. The music we like, our hobbies, etc.

"Fleetwood Mac is definitely my favorite. I just know Stevie is a witch." I told James.

"That's muggle music?" James asked.

"Yep. Sirius introduced me to it. I've delved into the muggle world since that introduction. Do you know how we have moving pictures? So do they!! Only it's real people in them. Not just their spirit! I don't know how they do it. Muggles must have their own magic. I went and watched one. They call it a movie. The movie I saw was Jaws. It made me a tad afraid of the ocean." I whispered.

"Why?" James whispered back.

"In the ocean, they have these sea creatures called sharks that will eat anything!! Including muggles! They're huge with jaws filled with sharp teeth." I said with wide eyes.

"Could this shark beat our giant squid?" James asked curiously.

"No way! The sharks aren't nearly that big. Our squid would win." I declared.

We began leaving the kitchen as we discussed the battle between the shark and squid.

"Ok. What about the mer people?" James asked as we got into a carriage.

"They're toast. I know they have weapons, but they'd be toothpicks for the shark." I said.

"Other than the squid, what could beat this shark?" James asked.

"I think if we see it coming, we could win. A good bombardo would do it in. If we don't see it coming, we'll have no chance." I said.

"So the only thing to beat it is the squid or us IF we see it coming?" James asked, shocked.
