Evergreen Catholic boarding School.
A school that both rebels and "good kids" in the age between 14-18 are sent to. Either to get in the correct track or to become even closer to God. After all is the year 1953, and it's not uncommon for parents to send their children on such a schools.
And this is exactly what happened to the rebel Ivan. After countless attempts to run away, stealing, arguing with his parents and talking back to teachers his father decided to send him to the Evergreen Catholic boarding School.
He has been there for five weeks and it's has been quite boring. Fortunately for him, this will change soon.[Ivan's POV]
I wait in my room and wait and wait and wait. Why does the time doesn't move in here?! Still one and a half hours till dinner. Ugh. I don't wanna read or go out with the others, they are no cool people in here. All go so strict after rules, annoying.
My head snap up as I hear the door open. Oh no the nurse found out I drew into the Bible this morning! But to my surprise another boy step in. I didn't saw him here before, a new student! Behind him I saw a nun explaining him something, I didn't care. This boy, I can finally have someone I could tease so the time goes faster.
As the nun finally walked out I stand up and with confident steps walk over.
"I'm Ivan, and who might be you?"
"I'm Lyle"
Lyle? Interesting name. My eyes travel up and down, looking at his overall appearance.
"Why are you here? A rebel?~" I hope so much he's a rebel, it would be fun but my face drop by his answer.
"No, no, no. I'm not, definitely not." He waves with his hands. He definitely doesn't want to be seen as such.
"My parents just send me here so I could get closer to god. And socialize with others, that have a good influence. That's all."
As he said that he had a soft smile one his lips. Cute. But if he just knew that I was the opposite of him he wouldn't smile at me like that, or?
Ah! A good influence. What a joke. With me? Never.
"So you're a 'good kid'?" I asked but seems not to sense the mock behind it.
"Yeah I am.. well kinda"
"Kinda?"
He nods, his hair falls so nice.
"I'm not used to pray and stuff but that's why I am here."
I stare at him. He didn't just said that. He is stupid, stupid, stupid. He already thinks like the nun's! How annoying.
"Listen, that's stupid. It doesn't matter if you pray so oft-
"It does. I don't wanna go to hell" he interrupted me.
Hell? He won't go to hell just he didn't pray, and even if he'll exist and he goes there, it's still stupid.
"Ah and what if you do a sin? Say.. you kiss a girl even you're not married~" I asked obviously not believe myself. That wasn't a sin.
"What?! No! I would never. I mean it wouldn't be as bad as other things. But I still wouldn't."
He wouldn't? He never done it before?! Wow. He was really a boring guy.
"So you never kissed?" As I asked that question I got the perfect idea in my head. How would he react if I- don't think just do it.I lean forward and without hesitation I kissed him lightly on his lips. What will his reaction be?
Heyyyy! I know it's a short chapter (almost 600 words) but I still hope you liked it! Tomorrow I'll write the next chapter. Hopefully longer and more detailed.
I choose the Titel "Sparks of sin" because it's the beginning when Ivan make the pure Lyle sinful with the kiss (especially because it's two boys kissing)
