Furies

Chappie 3

*Maka's POV*

"GASP!"

Between her shoulder blades were large feathered wings. They were at least 6 feet in diameter and they were tan with a thick streak of chocolate brown on the top. At that moment the door opened in the slightest and Maka spun around and tried to hide her newly found wings. Everything was in slow motion to Maka, she was having a heart attack to think that the person at the door was Kidd or worse, Soul.

But no, it wasn't the black haired symmetry freak nor the shark toothed weapon, it was the girl from the crater, that she remembered briefly meeting just hours before. " Um... Maka was it, are you OK?... whats on your back?" Alex asked quietly closing the door and moved closer "Are those...wings!?" she quietly exclaimed. I looked down and nodded, unfurling my wings.

"I know, I'm a freak." I said sadly. She gave me a look of sympathy and understanding and began removing her jacket. Through slits in her shirt came... huge black,white and silver wings. At least as big as mine her wings were pure black with the tops being silver and the sides and bottom being white, she opened her mouth to expose fangs where her canines should have been. I moved my tongue to where my canines were and also had fangs. "You have wings, and fangs!" I almost shouted but she moved her hand over my mouth. "Shh, you don't want the boys to hear us, do you?!" she whispered angrily. "Yes, I have wings as well and why are you so freaked out? Are these things new to you? If so, I think I know why you have them. You got shot with a blow dart, correct?" I nodded yes "OK, the dart contained a mix of chemicals that is supposed to kill a... well what we are. But when a human is shot,the chemicals mixes with the person's blood and gives the same traits and body mutations." Alex explained. "Wait, if it was made to kill what you are than how are you still alive... and what are we?!" I whisper shouted.

"I'm a Furie, and now so are you, but you are not a full furie so the serum won't kill you as for me, I am part furie, part human and part, well i'll tell you later, but the serum will knock us out for an hour or two." Alex explained. "Although there is cool things we can do as furies, but first things first you want to keep this from everyone, correct?" Again I nodded yes. "Alright then you will need colored contacts to hide your eyes because as you already may know they change color with mood but the main color will be green but if you are mad or scared or in love,ex... then they will change to that mood color. OH i almost forgot the coolest part, you know that pain in your bones?" I nodded. " well that has a purpose because now your bones are hollow and we can fly with those big beautiful wings of yours plus it makes you feel as light as a feather."She exclaimed looking happy. "If you want I could teach you how to fly." "That would be awesome, Alex! I can tell that thanks to this new secret we are going to be best friends!" I quietly exclaimed and we hugged, wrapping our wings around each other.
