Ricky's POV
I turned around in my chair to face Amalia. Her brows furrowed together as she read through the paperwork. Sena and Cal bickered like small children, making it harder for her to concentrate.
"Okay, guys this actually seems alright." She looked up "I know the other guys have more to lose so they're going to try crush us" she looked at Sena and nodded to let her know she had listened "but we probably will get caught eventually so we're better off trying"
"But, if we go on and we lose, we'll be public and if we're ever seen by anyone in the galaxy, we'll be reported and everything will be worse" Sena pointed out
"Would you stop being such a mother? We'll be fine. It's fun, we could be like celebrities. I'm sure we'll get some perks from the show, otherwise the risks would be too big" Cal retorted
"Maybe that's the trick, maybe that's why they're actually allowed to have the show. You never think Cal, you're so infuriating!"
"You have a point" I offered
"See? everyone thinks so" she smirked at Cal
"I meant about the show"
"So, I'm right about two things" She flashed a sarcastic smile at him. Sena could be very fiery and hot-headed, contrary to the snowy planet she came from and the icy powers she had, as well as this, to contribute to how her personality clashed with her gifts, she was probably the sweetest, most loyal, thoughtful and warm person I knew. Although her icy blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin with the blueish tint was a reminder that she could freeze us solid if we got on her bad side, this didn't stop Cal from irritating her though, as well as her appearance she had a snow flake trail she liked to have follow her when she was in a good mood, like when a dog's tail wags, and though she hated to admit it she enjoyed her playful arguments with Cal, the snow around her gave it away and it was also an indication when Cal was taking things too far because it would stop and then he'd know he was in for it.
Cal was the one who had found her, so they had a secret soft spot for each other that everyone saw but them, when it came down to it they always protected each other. He had found her on the ice planet while he was trying to get a soil type near one of the caves near the North of the planet. She had been collecting icicles and eating them as ice pops and saw him trying to dig through the snow and had cleared it all away using her powers and helped him dig. I don't know when the arguing began between them or if it they had been like that since they had met, either way, we saw how well they got on, especially when they didn't disagree.

Cal was very different, to say the least. He was a joker, carefree, sarcastic, argumentative and athletic. Unlike Sena, his appearance complimented his personality; tanned with dirty blond tousled curls and green eyes, he looked human, like Amalia and I, but his skin radiated a subtle glow that suggested otherwise and of course his own almost magical traits that we didn't have. He had a habit of scratching the back of his head or playing with his hair when he was thinking, whether it was natural or a way to flex his muscles, I wasn't sure. He argued with Sena a lot but he looked after her, sometimes he treated her like she was weak, which bothered her but she appreciated it.
I was snapped out of my inspection as Amalia waved a hand in front of my face.
"Ricky? Hello?" I snapped back to attention, she ran a hand through her dark, almost black hair to get it out of her face. "What do you think we should do?"
"About the show?" Everyone sighed in exasperation
"Yes Ricky" she spoke slowly as if I was a toddler
"We might as well try it" I shrugged. "We haven't done anything major to be punished for, even if we lose" Sena's shoulders relaxed as she nodded, she'd done the least of all out of all of us, she really only defended us, so all she really did was self defence, and maybe used her ice to break some locks, even so, that was only when she saw it as justified, if we were stealing something back for someone(for a small price). I think she was more worried about us and how we'd be punished and maybe she was afraid of being left alone again.
"Yeah, I think we can win guys and we need that money, with it we won't have to do what we do now to survive, we can retire and it'll be great" Amalia reminded
"So you're just going to go for it and ignore the consequences?" Sena asked
"Don't we always?" Cal smiled
