Zoya was shaken, still in shock from the events that had just unfolded. She broke free from Aditya's grasp, as if a spell had been lifted. Her hands trembled slightly as she adjusted her clothes, her heart racing wildly in her chest. The greenhouse, with its enchanting scents and dim lights, now felt like a place of anxiety. Without thinking, she began to run in the gentle rain, each drop seeming to wash away a part of her despair. The cool wind whipped against her face, but she couldn't stop; she had to escape.
On his side, Aditya felt a storm of emotions raging within him. His heart raced after the emotional marathon he had just experienced with Zoya. He knew he had crossed a line, that there was no turning back. Guilt gnawed at him, but he hadn't had the courage to stop Zoya. His thoughts swirled around the memory of her lost gaze and the words he had spoken, words that had shattered something inside her.
When Zoya arrived home, she was completely distraught. She entered the living room where her family was gathered, but her mind was so far away that she could only manage a fleeting greeting before fleeing to her room like a fleeting shadow.
**"Zoya... but you're completely soaked!"** exclaimed Noor, concern etched on her face.
**"I'm not in the mood!"** she replied in a trembling voice before slamming the door behind her with force. Once alone, she crouched against the door, her hands tangled in her wet hair, memories flooding back like a rising tide. She replayed that moment of intimacy with Aditya, the shared thrill that had turned into pain when Pooja's name had echoed in the air like a betrayal.
Tears began to stream down her cheeks, hot and salty. Why was this pain so vivid? She mentally repeated that she should have seen it coming. **"Why does it hurt so much?"** she lamented inwardly. With care and hesitation, she began to peel off her wet clothes, each piece falling to the floor like fragments of a shattered dream.
She moved to the mirror and discovered her reflection: her naked body marked by the memories of Aditya — the traces of a fleeting love that left her in a state of unprecedented vulnerability. The image in the mirror reflected a cruel truth: **"Zoya Siddiqui, that man is not yours. He never was and never will be. His heart does not belong to you,"** she thought bitterly. *Why does it hurt so much?* She felt like a betrayed woman, discovering her husband in the arms of another.
She entered the bathroom and turned on the shower with all the intensity she could muster, hoping that each scalding drop would neutralize the pain that was devouring her from within. But even under this soothing torrent, her suffering persisted.
**"Zoya, pull yourself together,"** she murmured aloud in an attempt to chase away her dark thoughts. Just as she stepped out of the shower, her phone vibrated on the bed — a message from Aditya.
**"You forgot your poetry book!!"**
She read the message, and a wave of rage washed over her. In an impulsive gesture, she flung her phone across the bed, her gaze filled with anger. Pain, confusion, and betrayal swirled within her, creating a whirlwind of emotions she didn't know how to handle.

**"Rajveer, you asked to see me. Tell me, do you have news regarding our case?"** Aditya was about to leave the park when he received Rajveer's call.
**"I discovered something strange. I don't know how to tell you..."** Rajveer said, a note of concern in his voice.
**"But what's going on, Rajveer? Just tell me!!"** Aditya urged, his heart racing.
**"Actually, I found out something about Pooja. She and Yash knew each other. He was the gynecologist who was following her. They met several times outside the office. I have surveillance footage that proves it,"** Rajveer explained, tension palpable in his words.
**"Do you think they shared more than just a doctor-patient relationship?"** Aditya asked, breathless from the revelation.
**"But how? I don't understand!"** Aditya exclaimed, confusion etched on his face. **"A year ago, when we decided to consult a specialist to have a child, Pooja told me she had met a gynecologist. She never told me who it was. I asked several times to accompany her, but she insisted that she had to finish her exams first before we went together."**
Aditya stood up abruptly, his gaze lost in the void. **"I didn't insist until I learned that she was six weeks pregnant at the time of her death. I don't understand anything. I remember she was chaining appointments with her so-called gynecologist. It was that filthy guy. I just can't believe it."**
**"I know it must not be easy to learn all this, but you need to calm down. Don't make any hasty decisions or insinuations. We'll untangle this story,"** Rajveer said, placing a comforting hand on Aditya's shoulder. **"Well, I have to go."**
**"And any news regarding the organ donation?"** Aditya asked Rajveer, who was about to leave.
**"No, nothing to report for now; it's taking much longer because it's ultra-confidential. But I'll find out!"** Rajveer said with a determined look.

**"Zoya... Zoya, dinner is served!"** shouted Wasseem, calling his daughter who was in her room upstairs.
**"Noor, go see your sister and tell her dinner is ready."**
**"Yes, of course, uncle,"** Noor replied as she headed toward Zoya's room. She knocked gently on the door. **"Zoya... Zoya, are you there? Dinner is ready, come down."**
**"I'm not hungry, Noor. I just want to be alone!"** Zoya replied, her voice trembling.
**"But what's wrong? It's me, you can tell me anything,"** Noor insisted, worry etched on her face. Zoya, still in tears, lay on her bed. She knew Noor wouldn't let it go and didn't want to alarm her father. She got out of bed, opened the door, tears in her eyes, and pulled Noor into her arms.
**"Noor, please, make up an excuse for Dad and come back here after dinner. I really need to talk to someone,"** Zoya murmured, her voice broken.

Aditya entered his home, where his brother was waiting for him. **"How are you, Aditya? I thought we could spend this Sunday evening together, like old times,"** Arjun suggested, a warm smile on his face.
**"Old times? You're kidding, nothing is the same! Things have changed so much. I don't have Pooja anymore, and now Zoya..."** Aditya replied, sadness weighing heavily on his words.
**"What, Zoya? What happened with her? Don't tell me you hurt her?"** Arjun asked, concern evident on his face.
**"After what happened today between us, I'm sure she won't want to see me again, not even in passing,"** Aditya confessed, confused and demoralized.
**"But what happened? Aditya, tell me!"** Arjun insisted, his gaze piercing.
Aditya slumped onto the couch, his head thrown back, and began recounting his day to his brother. **"Rajveer called me. Apparently, Yash was the gynecologist who was following Pooja. They met several times, even outside the office."**
**"But that doesn't mean anything! Don't jump to conclusions,"** Arjun retorted, trying to calm his brother.
**"I know, but why didn't Pooja tell me anything? And Yash, he never brought up Pooja. On the contrary, he played surprised when we talked about her. I'm going to go crazy; my head is going to explode."**
**"That day, six months ago, when I went to drop off my sperm at the hospital for analysis and fertility treatment, it wasn't Yash who received me, but a lab technician."**
**"I don't know if I'm ready to discover the truth behind this story,"** sighed Aditya. **"And now, there's Zoya. I'm so confused. I need to talk to her."**
He immediately dialed her number, but she didn't answer. Once, twice, three times... Nothing. He decided not to pester her, imagining the storm of emotions she must be going through. *I'll let her be tonight.*

**"It's okay, Zoya, my uncle has gone to bed,"** Noor announced, trying to break the silence.
**"What did you tell him about me?"** Zoya asked, a glimmer of worry in her eyes.
**"Period!!!"** Noor replied with a mischievous smile. **"It always works."**
Zoya feigned a smile, but it couldn't mask the sadness that enveloped her. **"You're right,"** she murmured, her voice trembling.
**"Zoya, what's going on? I can feel something's wrong. Tell me what's bothering you,"** Noor insisted, sitting beside her, her gaze filled with concern.
**"I slept with Aditya..."** Zoya finally confessed, her voice barely audible.
**"When, how, where?? Yesterday you said nothing happened between you two, when did things change?"** Noor asked, surprised, her eyes wide.
**"And how was it?"** she added with a teasing smile. **"Do you regret it?"**
**"No, not at all. I don't regret anything we did because it was one of the happiest moments of my life. Even with Yash, I never felt what Aditya makes me feel. Noor, when I'm with him, it's like an electric shock. I feel butterflies in my stomach, my heart races. I don't know what's happening to me,"** Zoya admitted, passion and confusion mingling in her voice.
**"So what's the problem? Why are you so sad? Why are you in this state?"** Noor asked, concern etched on her face.
**"When I was with Aditya... when we were... well, you know! He called me Pooja. And it made me panic. I realized that his heart would never belong to me, and that hurt me immensely."**
**"I understand, Zoya, but you have to put yourself in Aditya's shoes. The loss of his wife is still recent, and you just broke up with Yash too. Maybe it's the guilt that made him say his late wife's name."**
**"You might be right,"** Zoya said, hugging Noor tightly. **"Thank you, Noor, you're the best."** She planted affectionate kisses on her forehead, grateful for her presence.
**"Ahhhh Zoya, stop! Otherwise, tell me, how is Aditya as a lover? Is he good?"** Noor asked, a mischievous smile lighting up her face.
**"Ahhh Noor, you're terrible! Come on, let's sleep. And you shut up!"** Zoya turned off the light, and the two cousins burst into laughter, the tension of the evening slowly dissipating in the warmth of their bond.
