**— Zoya, are you awake?** Noor asked, concern in her voice.
Sunlight flooded the room, but Zoya couldn't shake off her sleep. **— Where am I?** she murmured, confusion evident on her face.
**— In your room!** Noor replied, moving closer to her. **But what happened to you?**
Zoya slowly sat up, recalling the events of the previous day. **— I remember being with Aditya, we were eating kheema in his car. He started telling me what happened to Pooja, and suddenly, I felt unwell.**
She held her head, her fingers brushing her temples, trying to piece together the fragments of the previous night. Memories flooded back, clear yet troubling, like a boomerang.
**— Speaking of Aditya, he didn't stop calling you all night,** Noor continued, her gaze anxious. **At one point, I answered to tell him you were sleeping. But he insisted, asking me to call him as soon as you woke up. And your father wants to talk to you too.**
**— No, Aditya, no! Don't call him! I can't see him right now! Not before I clear up this doubt,** Zoya cried, panic in her voice.
**— But what are you talking about?** Noor asked, perplexed.
Zoya abruptly got up and locked the door, her heart racing. **— Noor, you promised to help me investigate the identity of my donor! We have to do it today.**
**— Why? Did you learn something?** Noor inquired, worry mingling with curiosity.
**— Actually, yesterday, Aditya told me that Pooja's heart was removed at the hospital after her accident, and that's why he still can't move on.**
**— No, but that's awful, Zoya...** Noor sat down, shock paralyzing her. **No... don't tell me you think that... no.**
Zoya nodded, confirming her fears. **— Yes, Noor, there are too many coincidences. My attraction to Aditya, even though we barely know each other... When I'm by his side, it's as if my heart recognizes the beats of his. Remember, Pooja's accident happened on the day we came to Mumbai. It's too many coincidences.**
**— Do you think your father knows?** Noor asked, her expression worried.
**— I don't know, but Yash must know the exact identity of my donor. And since they're discussing it behind my back, I believe my father knows.** Zoya bit her lip, frustration rising within her. **Not to mention they categorically refuse to let me get close to Aditya without giving me a valid reason.**
**— I need to verify if everything I think is true, or I'm going to go crazy, Noor, do you understand me?** Zoya implored, tears in her eyes.
**— Yes, of course, and I will help you! Just tell me how,** Noor replied, determined to support her sister.
**— We're going to the hospital. I'll try to distract Yash, and you'll go to his office with Akansha's help. Search the archives and bring me my medical file. That will be the key to the truth.**
**— And your father, what do we do about him? He wants to talk to you, and so does Aditya!** Noor worried.
**— Damn! Aditya, I have an appointment with him today. I hope he's not already at the hospital.** Zoya rushed to her phone.
**— Hello, Akansha? Yes, this is Ms. Zoya, tell me.**
**— Cancel all my appointments for the day. I'll send Noor; she'll explain everything to you in detail.**
**— But ma'am, Hooda Sir is already waiting for you...**
**— Akansha, tell him I'm not feeling well and that I won't be coming today.**
**— Ma'am, are you okay?**
**— Akansha, do what I'm telling you, okay?!**
**— Alright, see you later, ma'am!**
Zoya hung up, her heart racing. **— Okay, the plan is in motion. Let's get ready and go. I'm going to call Yash!**
**— Hello... Yash?**
**— Zoya! What a surprise! I thought you wanted some time. I always knew you couldn't stay away from me for too long,** he replied with disconcerting confidence.
**— Uh... Yash, I've been thinking a lot about our last discussion... I think I was a bit harsh with you. Can we meet?** she asked, nervousness palpable in her voice.
**— Are you in your office? I can come down,** he offered.
**— No, can we meet at our usual cafeteria? I didn't go to the hospital today.**
**— But are you okay?** he asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
**— Yes, of course. Can you be there in 30-45 minutes?** Zoya asked, hoping he would agree.
**— Zoya, I have appointments this morning. I can come to your place in the evening.**
**— Please, Yash,** she implored, a note of desperation in her voice.
She felt frustrated to have to lower herself like this in front of him, especially with the suspicions swirling in her mind. Her spoiled little girl ego could wait.
**— Okay, alright, Zoya, I'm coming,** he replied, a bit of hope in his voice. The cafeteria was a place filled with memories, a spot where they used to meet back when they were dating in college. Maybe she had been convinced by her father to reconsider her decision. *Let's see what this crazy girl has to say to me. I won't make it easy for her.*
**— Hello... Mona, move all my appointments to the afternoon.**
**— Okay, sir!**
