**What are you doing here?**

**You're really crazier than I imagined, get out of my house!** Yash, his face pale, instinctively stepped back, his heart racing. The tension in the air was palpable.

**Calm down, Yash. I thought we were very close, you and I? Almost friends.** Aditya stepped forward, his piercing gaze searching for the truth behind Yash's mask.

**Because my wife's friends are also my friends.** Aditya's declaration was a thunderclap, leaving Yash frozen, surprised by the turn of events.

**What are you talking about?** Yash stammered, his mind in turmoil.

**I know you were Pooja's gynecologist, and don't even try to deny it!** Aditya's anger was skyrocketing, each word hitting like a punch. **Now, you're going to sit down quietly and tell me why you pretended not to know her the day of the accident.**

**Adi-tya...** Yash hesitated, fear creeping into his voice. **Now you're calling me Aditya. Listen, Yash, I don't have time to waste. You need to answer my questions quickly.** Rage boiled within him, ready to explode.

**Why did you hide your relationship with Pooja? Answer!** Aditya's voice was a thunderous growl, threatening and desperate.

**Listen, Aditya, I met Pooja a year ago. She came to my office for fertility treatment, and I treated her like I do all my patients. It was just a coincidence!** Yash declared, the fear of being struck by Aditya evident on his face.

**And why were you meeting often outside the hospital?** Aditya's question was like an arrow, piercing Yash's heart.

Yash, caught off guard, felt trapped. *He might know about our meetings at the hotel... No, the hotel is on the outskirts of town, how could he know?* he thought, his mind racing. **I don't know, we must have met once or twice outside, during my breaks, to follow up on the treatment. I don't remember much, it was so long ago,** he replied nervously, his trembling voice betraying his discomfort.

**You know what, Yash?** Aditya stepped closer, his eyes burning with anger. **I don't believe you! I simply don't believe you. You're involved in the illegal heart transplant of Pooja, and everything you just told me is completely far-fetched.**

**But don't worry, I will uncover everything you're hiding and expose you to the world. I'm convinced that none of this is a coincidence.** Aditya, his heart heavy with rage and determination, stormed out of the apartment, slamming the door behind him.

**You're right, Aditya, none of this is a coincidence.** Yash murmured, his gaze lost in the void, aware that the shadows of his past were catching up with him.

Flashback: Over a Year Ago

**— Ranbir, I really need you to help me.** Yash's voice trembled with anxiety. **Zoya has fainted again. The doctor said that if she doesn't get a transplant, she has at most two years to live. You know I love her, and I can't watch her die before my eyes without doing anything.**

**— Do you love her, or do you love what she represents and what she brings you?** Ranbir asked, raising an eyebrow, his piercing gaze searching for the truth.

**— I love everything about her,** Yash replied, his voice heavy with emotion. **I simply can't watch her die. I'm ready to eliminate any obstacle in the way of our happiness.**

Ranbir and Yash had grown up in tough neighborhoods. Unlike Yash, Ranbir had chosen a dangerous path, but he remained his friend, his brother, his accomplice. Ranbir had already been to prison several times, and each time, he escaped like a cat that always lands on its feet.

**— Listen, I could call one of my contacts in prison, find a compatible guy, we eliminate him, and we transplant your girlfriend. Easy as pie,** Ranbir said, spinning a lollipop between his fingers as if he were talking about a simple child's game.

**— No, I don't want the heart of a common assassin or criminal for Zoya. I want the heart of a young, beautiful, and healthy woman for her,** Yash retorted, determination mixing in his voice.

**— Yeah, sure. You told me you were appointed director of the hospital, what's it called again?**

**— The Medicare Hospital...**

**— Whatever. You just need to get the list of registered patients for organ donations.**

**— That's not a bad idea...**

**— Are you sure you really want to do this? Yash, my brother, I know you like the back of my hand! I know you're not a saint, but taking someone's life is a burden that will haunt you forever. And what if Zoya leaves you after that?** Ranbir looked at Yash, worried for his friend.

**— She will never do that!** Yash shouted, anger rising within him. **Zoya loves me, she loves me, do you hear! I love her too, and besides, her father will make me the heir to his chain of hospitals after our marriage.**

**— I guess you've made your decision!**

A few days later...

**— Yash, Bro, there are a lot of files in this folder,** Ranbir said as he began reading the names of the people on the list.

**— Ankita Sharma, 64 years old, suffering from arthritis for 10 years...**

**— Nivedita Pandey, 45 years old...**

**— Pooja Mathur Hooda, 27 years old! Wife of Aditya Hooda... undergoing fertility treatment... poetry lover...**

**— Come back, come back!** Yash asked, anxiety in his voice.

**— About whom?** Ranbir asked, perplexed.

**— No, the last one, the last name,** Yash insisted, intrigued.

**— Pooja Mathur Hooda...**

**— Yes, show me her file. I think she's the ideal candidate.**

**— I need to plan a meeting with her,** Yash said in a Machiavellian tone, a sinister smile forming on his lips.

**— How? If you want, I can take care of it. We kidnap her, and it's done,** Ranbir replied, a glint of excitement in his eyes.

**— No, I'll first get to know her better, as a gynecologist, of course. Until then, maybe we could find another solution for Zoya that would prevent me from committing the irreparable.**

**— Okay, as you wish, Bro. You know I'm here if you need me,** Ranbir replied, his gaze filled with loyalty. "Think about it seriously because there will be no turning back."
