Chapter four

As Hira walks out of the changing room while talking to ichigo two walks by not bothering the pair since they were talking. Suddenly Hira abruptly ends the conversation with ichigo to go after two.
"Are you ready darling?" Two asks. "of course I am two" replied Hira.

Hira and two are in strelitzia overseeing the battle while guarding the main pipeline much to twos's boredom. "Squad 13's movements are all over the place. They're barely hanging in there" says two as squad 13 begins to get overwhelmed by the klaxosaurs. "Tell me darling... what do you pilot the franxx?" Hira unsure of herself says "to protect papa and the other adults" two scoffs "that's a lame answer but alright" Hira sighs and says "they're getting overwhelmed. We should go help them"
Two just nods as he climbs into the pistil seat.
Two and Hira rush into the battle killing any klaxosaur they can get their hands on. Ichigo orders strelitzia to go back to their post but they ignore the order. The commander for squad 26 099 also demands strelitzia returns to their post but he is also ignored. Suddenly the target beta, the giant cube klaxosaur they're fighting changes form into a humanoid creature and begins advancing to the pipeline. Hira's sanity begins to crumble as a result of taking time to clear the smaller klaxosaurs.
Two checks in on her bringing the stamen back to her senses. Once the other franxx pinned the giant klaxosaur strelitzia jumps up into the air to slam down onto the klaxosaurs core with a downward thrust. The attack appeared successful however target beta punches strelitzia off as it begins to reassemble itself into a battering ram to hit strelitzia with once it lands. Strelitzia hits the pipeline and deactivates as Hira has begun to go brain dead from piloting with Two. Strelitzia takes the blow from target beta pushing it against the pipeline. Due to Hira's state strelitzia changes into its stampede form much to the horror of the other franxx pilots. As target beta begins to ram strelitzia into the pipeline over and over inside of the cockpit two has devolved into a primal state screaming and yelling in an attempt to stop the klaxosaurs attack. Suddenly with a gasp Hira gets up to see that Two is screaming and yelling over and over saying "NO! YOU WONT KILL ME! I'LL FIND HER BEFORE I DIE!" Suddenly Hira comes from behind two with a hug calming the raging boy.
Then she says "me? Don't you mean us?" Hiras says as she chooses to ignore the statement about finding someone for the time being. Strelitzia returns to its Iron Maiden form and proceeds to pummel the klaxosaur into a blue and bloody pulp as it screams a battle cry.

In the aftermath Hira helps a disoriented two out of the franxx's cockpit. Hira turns to two and says
"I won't die on you. I'm your darling after all right?" After that Hira goes and celebrates with the other parasites as two sits down on his franxx contemplating that he needs to kill more and more klaxosaurs to become human again and find her. His darling.
