Chapter six

(A/N: The events in the triangle bomb episode play out the same way)
As they were stepping out of their franxx after a battle Hira noticed that two wasn't stepping out of his pistil seat as he looks rather gloomy. When Hira asks "two what's wrong?" Two proceeded to climb out and growl the words "nothing". Afterwards nana calls them down and tells the squad papa is going to award them medals for their achievements. The parasites are excited however two is indifferent as he begins walking away but then nana stops him and tells him "this is perfect timing.
Papa wants you to undergo testing since you've been rapidly accelerating with your klaxosaur growth. For that we'll have to go the garden. Speaking of which the rest of you" nana says motioning to the other parasites. "Also need testing. So after the ceremony we'll all go to the boarding house and change and then leave for the garden. Is that understood?" All the parasites nod but two just scoffs and says "fine"

(A/N: btw zorome does get lost in the city but he's found before he can meet the adult he did originally. And no I'm not covering the partner shuffle bc I'm way too lazy. Also the events in the library still happen)
Two and the parasites return to the garden to undergo tests. The rest of the squad finishes their very basic testing and is wandering around the garden when suddenly they all hear a loud guttural scream nearby. The run to a glass window nearby that overlooks a room. They're horrified to find that inside the room two is strapped down to a cold and hard table as he is repeatedly shot in different places with a laser cutting thorough the holes each time only for them to heal in seconds.
The group is hurried as they watch scientists continually shoot holes into their friends body. That's when Nana finds them "you shouldn't be here. I told you stay where you were" Hira then yells at nana "WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY DOING TO HIM?!?!?" Nana calmly replies "they're testing his body. After all a monster like him has to be kept in check and we need to now what he can do and is capable of. Now let's go or else I'll have the guards escort us back" the group very hesitantly follows nana after a guard with a pulse rifle appears behind them forcing them to go with nana. xxxxxx×
As they sit in the lobby waiting for two Hira speaks up "does anyone else want answers?" The group all nods solemnly. Ichigo then speaks up "do you all remember those scars and holes in his body back when his suit got melted by that klaxasour?"
The group then goes wide eyed as they realize what she's implying. Before anyone can speak two walks out of a door wearing a muffler that was clearly causing him pain. Nana then appears "nobody remove this muffler from two. Not that you could without the correct ID card. It's his punishment for screaming loud enough for you all to hear after all" she begins to walk off "oh and feel free to explore I guess" the group watches her walk away before two walks up to the group weakly grabbing onto Hira as he seems to beg Hira to help him. Hira grabs two as the rest of the parasites surround two as they try to pry the muffler off of him to no avail. That's when they noticed something. Two is wearing a new suit and in the back of it a black and blue tail comes out of a hole in it. The group grows concerned as they notice that quite a bit of two has changed since they last checked. His blue skin that had some scales is now fully scaled and his horns are large. His nails are
akin to claws and they notice that through the muffler he has even larger fangs and a blue snaked tongue. The group continue to try to get the muffler off of two as Hira just sobs into twos hair over his state. When Hira begins to caress two's hair and his eyes go wide with cat like irises as he begins to grab at Hira. Before Hira can figure out what two wants an alarm goes off and all of sudden a command is issued through the speakers "squad 13 there are klaxosaurs coming for the garden. Code 016 keep code 002 in check. We are going to release her muffler now. Suddenly with a click the muffler falls off twos face causing his large fangs to bare themselves to group. Suddenly two runs off towards the franxx as the others follow. As two gets into strelitiza Hira try's to ask two what's wrong. When two tries to respond he speaks in a raspy grunt "kill... klaxodaur... must find my darling..." before Hira can ask what two is talking about he shoved her into her stamen seat and actives strelitiza as the other franxx as well as they boost off to go fight the klaxxasaurs that are heading for the garden.

Hira was desperately try to bring  two under control but he was too far gone. He kept killing  klaxasaur whilst muttering the words "must become human... to be with my darling" over and over again. Hira knew something was up now. She'd been thinking recently that she wasn't her original darling. That someone else was called that by him before and that whoever it was had clearly been separated from him by someone else. He wasn't in this to help humanity. He was here to find whoever his original darling. It pained to watch as he continued to mutter about becoming human clearly too lost in his own head to think straight. Hira decides that once they're back at the plantation she'll call a group meeting without him to tell the others about this. Surely if they all worked together they could save their friend from himself... right?
