Picture this: The scene opens in the Upside Down, blanketing the viewer in an unsettling stillness. The camera sweeps over Hawkins, eerily silent—strange, even for the Upside Down. Is this the end? Or just the beginning?
Lightning cracks, but there's no sound, only the whisper of the wind. The camera pans toward the Creel house, zooming in on the blood-stained gravel where Vecna had landed after his plunge through the attic window. His body, however, is nowhere to be seen. Across the street, the rusty swings squeak and groan in the wind.
A gust of wind picks up, carrying fallen leaves down the street, leading us to the Wheeler house. The house stands in stark contrast to the looming dark clouds above. The camera pulls back, offering a bird's-eye view of all of Hawkins, Indiana. Then, we zoom back into town, focusing on the trailer park. The remnants of the Munson trailer sit quietly, bearing the scars from the demobat attack that had torn through it.
We follow the same path that Dustin had limped along to find Eddie. Demobat carcasses litter the ground. The camera tracks along their scattered bodies until it reaches a familiar pair of legs—Eddie's legs.
The camera begins its slow pan up Eddie's body, showing his battered, bloodied form. His battle wounds tell the story of his valiant fight against the demobats. His signature necklace is missing—taken by Dustin as a memento for Eddie's uncle. His matted hair clings to dried blood and sweat. The corners of his mouth are stained with blood, and his eyes are closed. Despite the violence he'd endured, there is an unexpected peace on his face.
Then, suddenly, Eddie's eyes snap open, and he gasps for air.
Cue the intro.
